K&LNG ensures all lawyers are equal

Harvard Law School Women's Law Association conducted a national survey on treatment of women lawyers in many prominent U.S. law firms. Based on its outcome, two offices of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham LLP, in Washington and Pittsburgh respectively, grabbed the top position owing to its positive attitude towards women colleagues. The survey, "Presumed Equal: What America's Top Women Lawyers Really Think About Their Firms," was conducted among 105 U.S. law firms, wherein K&LNG's overall constructive attitude towards its women lawyers catapulted the firm to the 13th position nationally.

The survey, conducted with the aim to gain insight into the emerging role of women at top law firms, based its results on responses gathered from several thousands of anonymous responders. Queries were sent to women lawyers across the country on whether the firm's provided them with adequate training on various factors-like leadership, business development, part-time opportunities, personal and professional advancement, etc, besides working environment, gender equality practices, work-life balance, mentoring and diversity. The survey was also an attempt to educate wannabe lawyers on firm cultures and how to choose the best between two good firms based on the suitability of needs.

K&LNG has offices working simultaneously in the U.S. and the U.K. with a workforce of 1000 lawyers, representing a varied clientele ranging from entrepreneurs to Fortune 100 corporations globally.
