Stephens Inducted into Litigation Counsel of America
Baker Hostetler Houston partner S. Shawn Stephens was recently inducted into the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) at its Spring Conference and Induction of Fellows in New York City.

Ms. Stephens, who leads the Houston office's appellate practice, has been Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1995 and has handled hundreds of appeals, amicus briefs, post-trial matters, dispositive motions, mandamus actions and charge conferences. She has helped clients overturn significant monetary judgments and has established new legal principles.

Ms. Stephens is the past President of Texas Association of Trial and Appellate Specialists, is a member of the Council of the Houston Bar Association's Appellate Section and has served a term on the Executive Committee of the ABA Council of Appellate Lawyers.

The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. The LCA is aggressively diverse in its composition. Established as a trial and appellate lawyer honorary society reflecting the American bar in the twenty-first century, the LCA represents the best in law among its membership.
