Weil Gotshal obtained an important victory for Sotheby's, Inc. in a suit that involved the sale of a unique 17th century Italian baroque marble inlaid tabletop. Plaintiff claimed that she was the owner of the pietra dura table and that Sotheby’s sold the table to the Spanish government without her knowledge or authorization.
