Paul Schlauch Once Again Named World's Leading Mining Lawyer
Paul Schlauch was named Mining Lawyer of the Year for the third consecutive year by Who's Who Legal. He has been awarded this title since its inception in 2005.

Mr. Schlauch is a partner in Holland & Hart's Denver Tech Center office. He has more than 30 years experience in legal issues relating to the mining industry. His practice has included counseling in regards to operational and regulatory matters and representing clients in a wide array of transactions, as well as in litigation and arbitration.

"It's an outstanding achievement to win the Mining Lawyer of the Year Award for a third consecutive time," said the International Who's Who of Business Lawyers' Editor-in-Chief Callum Campbell. " Paul Schlauch's continuing success demonstrates a consistent and unparalleled level of performance and service to clients. We have no hesitation in declaring him the leading lawyer for mining expertise."

With more than 10 years of independent research, Who's Who Legal used thousands of nominations from clients and private practice professionals to identify the leading individual and firm in 27 practice areas, including mining. The winners were formally announced in The International Who's Who of Business Lawyers 2007, a compendium edition of all the individual Who's Who Legal publications, which was released in April.

The awards are based on a number of factors, including the feedback received in the ongoing research process, past performance in the research, and overall aggregate number of weighted favorable votes. Who's Who Legal lists only the leading practitioner in each field, based exclusively on the findings of a six month independent research process.

Mary York Recognized As Idaho Business Leader
Mary York, a Holland & Hart partner and trial lawyer, was named one of Boise's "2007 Accomplished Under 40" by the Idaho Business Review.

Nominees, all under the age of 40, are scored on professional accomplishments, community services, and the recognition received for personal and professional achievements.

In the community, York's involvement has included her work with Idaho Women Lawyers, Idaho Law Foundation, and University of Idaho minority student mentoring programs. She is also a speaker and author on eminent domain and land-use related topics for clients, industry experts, and members of the bar.
