Paul, Weiss Real Estate Project Featured on Front Page of The New York Times
The front page of today's New York Times features an article on the development of MTA's West Side Railyards, the largest building site left in Manhattan. Beginning next month, developers will have the opportunity to bid for the rights to develop the land under a request for development proposals to be issued by MTA, in cooperation with New York City. The site, which totals nearly 13 million square feet of development potential, is generating intense interest among New York's development community, with the opportunity to develop a major new office and residential neighborhood on Manhattan's Far West Side. The article notes that the project must go through the city's lengthy land-use review process. We are representing the MTA in all aspects of the planning, sale and development of the site. The Paul, Weiss team includes real estate partner Meredith Kane, counsel Barry Langman, and associates Erica Loye and Stephan Steiner.
