Bullivant client Robert Dugoni debuts new legal thriller
Seattle --

The Jury Master, Dugoni's debut novel carries on the tradition of Scott Turow and Stephen L. Carter as it introduces one of the boldest and most entertaining voices writing legal thrillers today.

In The Jury Master, Attorney David Sloane is beginning to suspect that his professional success stems not from extraordinary legal skills, but a rare gift that allows him to influence, and even control a jury's decisions.

Teaming up with a former CIA agent turned recluse and a West Virginia police detective, Sloane will try to solve a murder purposely cast as a suicide. If he can stay alive, he just might expose a 30-year conspiracy that could extend as far as the Oval Office and topple a presidency.

Book reviewers are calling it ""the legal thriller of 2006"" and predicting it will be on several best seller lists. It has been sold to publishers in ten foreign countries to date.

Read more about the book at Dugoni's website, www.robertdugoni.com.

Dugoni's previous book, The Cyanide Canary, with co-author Joseph Hilldorfer, received rave reviews from The Washington Post, which picked it as a best book selection for 2004 and was the Idaho Book of the Year. A true story, it tracked the prosecution of an environmental crime in vivid, riveting detail, complete with legal maneuvering and psychological ploys. The Cyanide Canary was released in September 2004.

Bullivant attorneys Tom Adams and Troy Greenfield have represented La Mesa Literary LLC and its principal, Robert Dugoni, in reviewing publishing contracts and negotiations with the publisher.

Tom Adams reviewed Robert Dugoni's publishing contract for The Jury Master and Troy Greenfield continues to offer Robert Dugoni advise regarding slander, libel and first amendment issues.

Both Tom Adams and Troy Greenfield have given presentations at gatherings of the Pacific Northwest Writer's Association on such issues as intellectual property rights, First Amendment Law, and the contract rights and obligations authors need to know about in publishing their books.
