Michael T. Hornak Elected Managing Partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP
COSTA MESA, Calif., March 22, 2006 – Michael T. Hornak has been elected managing partner of Rutan & Tucker LLP, California’s largest law firm based in Orange County.

“I am both honored and humbled to be at the helm of our firm during this centennial year,” said Hornak. “As we celebrate 100 years of Rutan as a shaper of Orange County, we renew our pledge to provide cutting edge legal services and strong community leadership. Our heart will always be here in Orange County even as we expand our presence across the State.”

Hornak joined the firm in 1981 and is a partner in the Trial Section. His broad-based business litigation, arbitration and counseling practice ranges from the defense of class actions asserting securities fraud, violations of consumer remedies, and insurance product misstatements, to the representation of plaintiffs in complex breach of contract, corporate governance, business tort, and trade secrets disputes.

Hornak received his law degree from UCLA and his undergraduate degree from Yale. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White) and has been named a Southern California ""Super Lawyer"" (Law & Public Media). Hornak succeeds Tom Crane who served as managing partner or member of the Firm’s Executive Committee for five years. Crane continues as a key senior partner of the Corporate/Securities group.

Now serving on Rutan & Tucker’s three-person Executive Committee with Hornak are L. Ski Harrison, elected in 2005, and newly elected member Kim Thompson. Previously head of the firm's Real Estate Department where he has been practicing for more than 20 years, Thompson handles the acquisition, leasing, development and sale of all types of real estate projects including shopping centers, office buildings, residential developments, industrial buildings/projects and freestanding commercial real estate. His practice also includes tax-deferred exchanges of real property and investment properties, plus environmental law and borrower representation in real estate loans. Thompson received his law degree from USC in 1985, and his undergraduate degree from Northern Arizona University in 1982.

Employment and HIPAA Attorney Dietzen Joins RKC\'s Tallahassee Office

Tallahassee, Fla. – Leonard J. Dietzen, III has joined the Tallahassee office of Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A. as a partner.

Dietzen brings over 15 years of legal experience to the firm, and has practiced civil litigation in Tallahassee since 1990. He represents companies in labor and employment actions. He focuses part of his practice on representing and serving as a consultant to healthcare-related businesses regarding HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations. Dietzen has lectured statewide on a variety of topics related to employment law and HIPAA regulations. Dietzen also represents management in collective bargaining negotiations.

In 1986, Dietzen graduated cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He graduated from Florida State University College of Law in 1989 with honors.

A member of The Florida Bar, Dietzen belongs to the Tallahassee Area Chamber of Commerce, the Tallahassee Society of Association Executives, the Florida Association of Police Attorneys, and is the former chair of The Florida Bar Health Section’s HIPAA Committee.

Employment Attorney, Bond, Joins RKC\'s Tallahassee Office
Tallahassee, Fla. – Linda G. Bond has joined the Tallahassee office of Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A. as a partner, augmenting the firm's Labor and Employment practice. Bond brings over 10 years of legal experience to the firm, having practiced employment litigation in Tallahassee since 1995.

She represents companies in labor and employment actions, including in the defense of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, Florida Civil Rights Act and other constitutional claims. Bond is a Florida Supreme Court certified county and circuit mediator and has served as Chief Negotiator for public and private bargaining. Additionally, she conducts in-house employment law training seminars for industry and businesses.

Bond graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. In 1995, she graduated from Florida State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court team. She is a member of The Florida Bar.

Berton W. Ashman, Jr. focuses his practice on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. He received his B.A. from James Madison University, his M.A. from University of Delaware, and his J.D. from University of Virginia.
Kenneth L. Dorsney focuses his practice primarily on patent and other commercial litigation. He is also a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He received his B.A. and B.M.E. from the University of Delaware and his J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Before joining the firm, Mr. Dorsney served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kent A. Jordan, District Judge, United States District Court, District of Delaware, and, also as a law clerk to the Honorable Mary Pat Thynge, Magistrate Judge, United States District Court, District of Delaware.
Timothy R. Dudderar focuses his practice primarily on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. He received his B.A. from University of Delaware and his J.D., with honors, from Villanova University School of Law.
Roxanne L. Houtman focuses her practice on counseling Delaware corporations on corporate law and governance issues. She received her B.A. from University of Delaware, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, summa cum laude, Order of the Coif.
Abigail Myers LeGrow focuses her practice primarily on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. She received her B.A. from Susquehanna University, summa cum laude, and her J.D. from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, summa cum laude. Before joining the firm, Ms. LeGrow was a law clerk to the Honorable Jack. B. Jacobs, Associate Justice of the Delaware Supreme Court.
Gabriel R. MacConaill focuses his practice primarily on bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He received his B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, summa cum laude, and his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, summa cum laude.
Cheryl D. Maddox focuses her practice on public finance and commercial transactions. While in law school, Ms. Maddox clerked for the Honorable C. Darnell Jones, III of the First Judicial District of Philadelphia, Commerce Court. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Maddox was commissioned as a bank examiner and worked with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. She received her B.A. from Ursinus College and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law, cum laude.
Rakesh H. Mehta, Ph.D., focuses his practice on procuring and advising on patents in the chemical and pharmaceutical arts in particular. Dr. Mehta is an inventor or co-inventor on a number of patents. Prior to joining Potter Anderson, Dr. Mehta worked as an associate in patent litigation and prosecution in the Washington office of Morgan, Lewis and Bockius, LLP, and he had also worked as an in-house patent agent and also as a scientist at DuPont. He received his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, India, and both his M.S. in Chemical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Chemical and Materials Science from University of Kentucky. He received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
Andrew Skouvakis focuses his practice on organizational and operational issues relating to the utilization of alternative entities (limited liability companies, statutory trusts, partnerships, and special purpose corporations) in all types of business and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securitizations, structured finance, investment and hedge funds, and financing transactions involving special purpose bankruptcy-remote vehicles. He received his B.A. from Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. from Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Skouvakis clerked for the Honorable Mary D. France of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Bradley W. Voss focuses his practice on corporate and commercial litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery. He received his A.B., with honors, from Harvard College and his J.D., with honors, from the University of Chicago Law School. Prior to joining Potter Anderson, Mr. Voss served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Steven M. Colloton of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Jennifer C. Wasson focuses her practice primarily on employment law and general commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, she was an associate at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP in Columbia, SC, and also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frank W. Bullock, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of William and Mary and her J.D. from University of North Carolina School of Law, summa cum laude.

POTTER ANDERSON & CORROON ADDS NEW ESTATE PLANNING PARTNER AND NEW SPECIAL BENEFITS COUNSEL
Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP is pleased to announce two new hires. Shari S. Odenheimer has joined the firm as partner focusing on estate planning and tax and B. Janell Grenier has joined as Special Benefits Counsel advising on employee benefits and compensation.

“Shari brings nearly 20 years of estate planning and tax law experience and is a superb addition to our estate planning practice,” said David B. Brown, the firm’s chairman. “Janell has represented both privately held and public companies, including Fortune 100 companies, in connection with a wide range of compensation and employee benefits matters and is a valuable addition to our firm,” he noted.

Ms. Odenheimer concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, tax law, and trusts and estate administration. She has experience with guardianships, trust and estate litigation, partnerships, international trust and estate planning, as well as representation of individuals and charitable organizations, private foundations and family businesses. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Odenheimer was a member of Cozen O’Connor in West Conshohocken, Pa., and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her law degree from Boston University School of Law where she was a member of the International Law Journal.

Ms. Grenier has been involved in the design, drafting and implementation of tax qualified plans, such as defined benefit pension, profit sharing, 401(k), cash balance, and ESOP plans); nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, health plans; severance; and other welfare plans. Her ERISA experience includes representing employers, trustees, retirement committees and other fiduciaries, in advising them on their compliance with ERISA's fiduciary requirements. Ms. Grenier also counsels exempt organizations and governments regarding benefits and compensation issues. She serves as a member of the Pension Liaison Committee, IRS, Mid-Atlantic Region. She received her B. Mus. with Special Distinction from University of Oklahoma and her J.D. from University of Oklahoma College of Law.

POTTER ANDERSON & CORROON ELECTS TWO NEW PARTNERS, NAMES COUNSEL
Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP announces it has elected Eric N. Feldman and Nicholas I. Froio as partners and named John J. Quinn, III as Counsel. All three were previously associates at the firm.

Mr. Feldman joined Potter Anderson in 2002 as an associate and is now a partner, practicing in the areas of alternative entities, corporations and general business. He focuses primarily on organizational and operational issues relating to the utilization of Delaware alternative entities in all types of business and commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, securitizations, structured finance, investment and hedge funds, and financing and real estate transactions. Mr. Feldman advises clients on issues such as the formation, operation, dissolution and winding-up of such Delaware alternative entities, the duties of general partners, managers, directors and trustees of such entities, and the perfection of security interests under the Delaware Uniform Commercial Code. He received his B.A. from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude.

Mr. Froio joined the firm in 1997 as an associate and is now a partner, focusing on the areas of alternative entities and general business. He concentrates his practice on organizational and operational issues relating to the utilization of alternative entities, such as statutory trusts, partnerships, limited liability companies and special purpose corporations, in all types of securitizations, structured finance and other commercial transactions. He also advises clients in joint venture structures and mergers and acquisitions transactions. He received his B.B.A. from Temple University, cum laude, and his J.D. from Temple University School of Law, also cum laude.

Mr. Quinn also joined the firm in 1997 as an associate and is now Counsel, focusing on the areas of corporate acquisitions and divestitures and exempt organizations and also advising on general tax matters. His recent transactions include tax-free corporate reorganizations, like-kind exchanges, equity and asset acquisitions and divestitures, and pre-merger notification reporting under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. Prior to attending law school, he was a chemical engineer with the DuPont Company, holding technical and management positions in plant operations and maintenance with the Freon™ Fluorocarbons, Sulfuric Acid, and Titanium Technologies businesses. He received his B.S. in chemical engineering, magna cum laude, from Lehigh University, and his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Pitney Hardin LLP Partner to Speak at 8th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference
Richard M. Meth, partner in Pitney Hardin's Bankruptcy/Creditors’ Rights Practice Group, will be a presenter at the 8th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference, sponsored by the American Bankruptcy Institute.
