Healy & Baillie partner W. Cameron Beard was appointed to the nine-member executive committee by the board of the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce on March 23, 2006 to serve a three-year term.

Attorney Douglas W. Atkins Promoted to Associate at FCSMC&C
Attorney Douglas W. Atkins, a resident of St. James, New York, has been promoted to an associate at the Mineola-based law firm of Forchelli, Curto, Schwartz, Mineo, Carlino & Cohn, LLP (FCSMC&C).

“Douglas has shown a great deal of enthusiasm and promise since starting at the firm and working towards completing law school,” noted FCSMC&C Managing Partner Jeffrey D. Forchelli. “At FCSMC&C, we feel it’s important to encourage and cultivate young legal talent and I am pleased to welcome him to the firm as an associate.”

A graduate of Brooklyn Law School (2005), Douglas Atkins served as a law clerk at the firm while completing his J.D. and now concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and real estate transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Atkins interned at the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office and the Kings County Supreme Court.

Mr. Atkins is admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut, and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association.

Bradley Arant Tops Birmingham’s Largest Law Firms
The Birmingham Business Journal has posted its annual "Largest Law Firms" list which ranks law firms by the number of local attorneys in the Birmingham area. Bradley Arant is at the top of the list with 176 attorneys practicing in the Birmingham office.

Two Warner Norcross Staff Elected NALS Officers
Two Warner Norcross staff members have been elected officers of NALS of West Michigan for 2006-07.
Janette M. Olexa, a legal secretary with the Firm, will serve a one-year term as president-elect before becoming president of the organization. Olexa joined Warner Norcross in 1990 and holds certifications as Professional Legal Secretary, Professional Paralegal and Certified Professional Secretary.

Annette L. Jeltema, also a legal secretary with the Firm, will serve a one-year term as governor. Jeltema joined Warner Norcross in 1991.

Warner Norcross Partner Attends Invitation-Only Economic Conference
Thomas J. Manganello, a partner with Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, recently participated in an invitation-only conference of business, government and academic leaders to discuss the future of Michigan's economy.
The day-long conference, titled ""Where Do We Go From Here? An Agenda-Setting Conference for the Economic Issues Facing Michigan,"" drew more than 200 attendees. Manganello, who chairs the Firm's Automotive Industry Group, submitted for consideration a paper on the future of the automotive industry in Michigan.

The event was co-sponsored by the Center for Michigan, the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, and the Center for Local, State and Urban Policy.

Manganello is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Product Liability Advisory Council, Defense Research Institute, the Wayne County Mediation Tribunal, the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan. He currently serves as legal counsel to the O.E. Sales and Marketing Counsel of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association, or OESA.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and his doctorate of jurisprudence from the University of Detroit Mercy.

Reinhart Welcomes Five New Attorneys
LOCAL LAW FIRM WELCOMES FIVE NEW ATTORNEYS

MILWAUKEE, March 21, 2006- Reinhart Boerner Van Deuren s.c. proudly announces the addition of five new attorneys to their firm.

Linda Dawson is a shareholder in the firm's Health Care Department in the Madison office. Linda has practiced law since 1984 and brings to her clients extensive experience in health care regulation and consultation, including fraud and abuse investigations, compliance planning, licensure, administrative law, survey and certification issues and litigation.

Immediately prior to joining the firm in 2006, Linda was the Deputy Chief Legal Counsel for the Department of Health and Family Services (1995-2006) and she served as an Assistant District Attorney and Deputy District Attorney from 1984 to 1995 in the Dane County District Attorney's Office.

Dawson received her undergraduate degree (1974, graduating with distinction) and Master's Degree (1980) in Behavioral Disabilities and her law degree (1984) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Linda is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and its Elder Law and Health Law Committees. She is also a member of the Dane Co. Bar Association and the Legal Association of Women.

Diana Goodman is an associate in the firm's Business Law Department and a member of the firm's multi-disciplinary product distribution and franchise law team in the Milwaukee office. She serves a wide range of business clients including start-ups, privately-held, middle market companies. Goodman is admitted to practice in New York and is a member of the American Bar Association and a member of The Law Society of England and Wales. She graduated, cum laude, from Fordham University and earned her law degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. where she was also a senior member of the Journal of Gender, Social Policy and the Law.

Robert Habich is an associate in the firm's Real Estate Department in the Waukesha office. His practice focuses on representing clients involved in a variety of real estate transactions and issues. Habich is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of Wisconsin, and currently serves as Co-Chair of the Real Property Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School, where he served as Associate Editor of the Marquette Law Review.

Carolyn McAllister is an associate in the Firm's Employee Benefits Department and a member of the Firm's interdisciplinary Executive Compensation team in the Milwaukee office. She works with a variety of clients including corporations, multiemployer plans and tax‑exempt organizations. McAllister earned her undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University and her law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, the American Bar Association and the Milwaukee Bar Association.

Tiffany Roepsch is an associate in the firm's Healthcare Department in the Milwaukee office. She serves a broad range of clients including hospitals and healthcare systems, physician groups, individual healthcare professionals, and long term care facilities. Roepsch gives back to her community through her work with the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation Milwaukee Affiliate as a race committee member and is member of Young Professionals of Milwaukee. She received her undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from The University of Iowa and her law degree, with distinction, from The University of Iowa College of Law where she was also a member of the National Moot Court Team and wrote for the Journal of Gender Race and Justice.
