Locke Reynolds Partner Elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel
Jeffrey S. Dible was recently elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Membership is conferred only upon nomination and election by other attorneys who are ACTEC Fellows. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.

The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel is a national association of more than 2,500 lawyers who have made outstanding contributions to the field of trust and estate law.

Jeffrey S. Dible chairs our Individual Services Group and concentrates his practice in estate planning, taxation and general business law. Andrews Davis Attorneys Recognized for Legal and Community Leadership in Oklahoma City
Andrews Davis, a full service business law firm in Oklahoma City, is pleased to announce that D. Joe Rockett and Jennifer B. Scott will each receive an award on May 1, 2006 recognizing excellence in Oklahoma's legal community.

The awards will be presented at a luncheon as part of Law Day on May 1 at the Cox Business Services Convention Center in Oklahoma City.

Law Day is an annual nationwide event designated in 1958 by Congress. The Oklahoma City Law Day luncheon on May 1 is hosted by Oklahoma County Bar Association (OCBA). Steven Lubet, Northwestern University law professor and author of ""Frontier Justice and Judicial Independence,"" is the keynote speaker. Multiple organizations are part of making this day exceptional. Joe Rockett and Jennifer Scott will be part of an elite group of attorneys recognized as outstanding leaders in the legal community who also give their time and energy to improve the lives of fellow Oklahoman's through community service. Applications for this honor were judged by an independent panel of Oklahoma business and legal professionals. The Journal Record sponsored the award and winners will be featured in the ""Leadership in Law"" magazine published by The Journal Record.

Joe Rockett joined Andrews Davis in 1969 and practices in the firm's corporate and securities department. His practice includes general corporate planning and counseling, corporate governance, corporate finance, private placements, venture capital, public securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, limited liability companies and partnerships. Rockett was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Meritas, a world wide affiliation of independent law firms, at the organization's annual meeting in Toronto. He also serves on the Meritas Member Relations Committee and as the coordinator of the Meritas Southwest Regional Group. Rockett serves on the Board of the Myriad Gardens Foundation in Oklahoma City and is Chair of the Foundation's Nominating Committee. He is a past president of the Myriad Gardens Conservatory which was merged with the Foundation.

Jennifer Scott joined the firm in 2002 as a law clerk and has practiced with the firm since she was admitted to practice in 2003. Ms. Scott practices in real estate, litigation, and health law. Scott currently serves as Executive Vice Chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association Mock Trial Executive Committee and is a former member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors, and is a member of the Ruth Bader Ginsberg American Inn of Court.

Stevens & Lee’s Ronald L. Glick Serves as Panelist at Hon. William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference
Ronald L. Glick served as a panelist at the Eighth Annual Hon. William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference held on April 21 in East Brunswick, NJ.
The panel discussed Alternative Dispute Resolution in bankruptcy court. Other panelists were Hon. Rosemary Gambardella, U.S. Bankruptcy Court; former U.S. district court judges Stephen M. Orlofsky and Alfred M. Wolin; former Presiding Judge of the Appellate Division of the New Jersey Superior Court Herman D. Michels; and Michele M. Fox, Esquire.

Mr. Glick, a Shareholder, concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy law, creditors’ rights, loan workouts and insolvency. For more than 25 years, he has represented creditors and debtors, including financial institutions and corporate clients. He has served as a bankruptcy trustee and has also represented trustees, creditors and equity committees. SCHIFF HARDIN LLP WELCOMES ERIC L. BARNUM AS A PARTNER IN THE ATLANTA OFFICE
Schiff Hardin LLP has added Eric L. Barnum as a partner in the Labor and Employment Group in the Atlanta office. He joins the firm from McGuireWoods LLP (Atlanta).

Mr. Barnum is an experienced trial lawyer practicing in all areas of employment law and employment litigation, including wrongful discharge, discrimination and hostile environment harassment litigation, labor arbitration, and analysis of personnel practices and procedures. He also has extensive experience in multiparty, complex civil litigation, including class actions, wage and hour claims, unfair competition, and administrative investigations and hearings.

His practice also includes workplace violence intervention and evaluation, as well as obtaining temporary restraining orders and permanent injunctions. Mr. Barnum works with clients in the transportation, manufacturing, utility, health care, retail, education, and freight management and logistics sectors. He frequently conducts training and educational seminars for lawyers and human resource professionals on various aspects of developing employment law. Mr. Barnum also has a background in career counseling and is an accomplished public speaker on issues of youth mentoring and motivation.

Former City of Buffalo Corporation Counsel Michael B. Risman joins Hodgson Russ
Hodgson Russ LLP is pleased to announce that Michael B. Risman, Corporation Counsel of the City of Buffalo from 1997 through February 2006, has joined the firm as a partner in its Municipal Law and Business Litigation Practice Groups.

Mr. Risman has more than 25 years of experience representing municipalities in a wide range of civil litigation and appeals. Most recently, as head of the Department of Law of the City of Buffalo, he served as chief counsel for the City, the Mayor, the Common Council, the Buffalo Board of Education, and other municipal entities and officials. Prior to becoming Corporation Counsel, Mr. Risman served as the Senior Deputy Corporation Counsel for 10 years.

Mr. Risman directed the City’s and the Board of Education’s litigation in all areas and was involved in many complex economic and real estate development projects for the City. During his tenure with the City, he successfully represented it in many complex, high-profile cases, including the Propane Explosion and the Buffalo Teachers Federation strike cases.

An active member of the legal, business, and cultural communities, Mr. Risman is a committee member of the Erie County Charter Revision Commission, a member of the Niagara Frontier Corporate Counsel Association board of directors, and former chair of the Municipal Law Committee of the Bar Association of Erie County. Mr. Risman is also an adjunct professor of law at the University at Buffalo Law School, where he teaches a course on regionalism.

He is listed in Who’s Who in Law and was a recipient of Business First’s 40 Under Forty Award for community service and leadership in 1996.

Mr. Risman received a B.A. from Boston University and a J.D. from the University at Buffalo Law School.

Michael Kirwan Joins the Transactional & Securities Practice Group at Foley & Lardner
Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that Michael B. Kirwan has joined the firm as of counsel. He will be a member of the Business Law Department and the Transactional & Securities Practice Group.
