Thomas C. Cambier holds a Juris Doctor degree from Emory University School of Law (2005) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York at Geneseo (2001, summa cum laude). He is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society and the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society and he received the Linfoot Scholarship for academic achievement and leadership. Mr. Cambier is admitted to practice in New York State. He lives in Syracuse, New York.

Firm Welcomes Isabelle Heenen in Brussels Office
The firm is pleased to announce that on April 18 Isabelle Heenen joined the Brussels office as Special European Counsel. Practicing in the Litigation Department, Ms. Heenen specializes in finance law and commercial and white collar criminal litigation. Ms. Heenen is one of only 20 lawyers admitted to the Belgian Supreme Court Bar. She was previously a partner at Coudert Brothers.

Two Warner Norcross Staff Receive NALS Certifications
Two staff members of Warner Norcross & Judd LLP have received professional certifications from NALS, the association for legal professionals.
Annette Jeltema, a legal secretary in the Grand Rapids office of the Firm, recently passed the certification exam to earn the Professional Legal Secretary® designation. Those earning PLS status demonstrate a working knowledge of procedural law, the law library and how to prepare legal documents, the ability to interact on a professional level with attorneys, clients and other support staff and the discipline to assume responsibility and exercise judgment.

The one-day certification exam covers four areas: written communications, office procedures and technology, legal knowledge and skills, and ethics and judgment.

Amber Zemaitis, a legal secretary in the Grand Rapids office, recently passed the certification exam to earn the Accredited Legal Secretary® designation. Those earning ALS status demonstrate ability to perform business communication tasks, understanding of office equipment and related procedures, aptitude for understanding legal terminology, legal complexities and supportive documents and other areas.

The four-hour exam measures written communication, office procedures and legal knowledge, and ethics, human relations and judgment.

LISA A. FIKE JOINS CLEVELAND OFFICE OF TAFT, STETTINIUS, & HOLLISTER LLP
Lisa A. Fike has joined the Cleveland office of Taft, Stettinius, & Hollister LLP in the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group.

Fike received her law degree from Indiana University School of Law and received her undergraduate degree in business administration from Manchester College in Indiana. Prior to joining Taft, Lisa worked for Amer Cunningham Co., L.P.A. in Akron and then Major Legal Services as a contract attorney in Cleveland.

Former IRS National Chief of Appeals Joins Skadden
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP announced today that Dave Robison, former National Chief of Appeals at the Internal Revenue Service (""IRS""), has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor, Tax Resolution Strategies, and will be working with the firm's Tax Group in its Washington, D.C. and New York offices. A 32-year veteran of the IRS, Mr. Robison has served in a wide variety of positions, including postings in Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, as District Director for the IRS International District, and in management positions in California, Idaho, Minnesota, Boston and New York. Subsequent to enactment of 1997 legislation restructuring the IRS, Mr. Robison led the design teams responsible for IRS Appeals and the Large and Mid-Sized Business (LMSB) Division. In 2000, he was appointed the first Director of the Financial Services Industry in the LMSB Division. Mr. Robison also served as the IRS liaison to President Bush's Advisory Panel on Tax Reform in 2005.

As Senior Advisor, Tax Resolution Strategies, Mr. Robison will be working with tax attorneys throughout the firm, matching his experience, technical expertise and unparalleled knowledge of IRS practices with their considerable tax controversy skills and experience.

Fred Goldberg, former IRS Commissioner and co-head of Skadden's Tax Controversy and Litigation practice, has known Mr. Robison for years and is ""excited to have Mr. Robison work with the group's growing practice."" Three Prominent Labor & Employment Attorneys Join Seyfarth Shaw Partnership
Seyfarth Shaw LLP, one of America’s leading full service law firms, announced that three prominent labor and employment attorneys have joined the firm’s partnership adding additional strength and experience to a practice group known for its deep bench of knowledgeable and sophisticated legal representation.

Richard B. Lapp re-joins the firm in its Chicago office; previously, he was with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Stuart Newman is in Atlanta; most recently, he was the managing partner of Jackson Lewis’ Atlanta office. Richard M. Reice is resident in New York, prior to his joining Seyfarth Shaw, he was partner at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP.

Lapp’s practice includes labor and employment litigation before federal and state courts and agencies, in particular, representing employers in class and collective actions and multi-plaintiff cases. His experience also encompasses advice and counseling on a variety of labor and employment issues, arbitration and mediation, and internal investigations. Lapp is a member of the American Bar Association and within, the ABA’s Labor and Employment, Dispute Resolution and Litigation (including the Committee on Class and Derivative Actions and Business Law) Sections, the Chicago Bar Association and the Seventh Circuit Bar Association. He received a B.A. from Michigan State University and his J.D. cum laude (Order of the Coif) from the University of Wisconsin School of Law.

Newman’s substantive practice covers the range of labor and employment law matters, but has and will be focused on traditional labor relations including complex collective bargaining and all other labor-management related areas. He was responsible for founding the Atlanta office of Jackson Lewis 28 years ago and has watched over its steadfast growth and integration in the Atlanta and Southeast marketplace. Newman is admitted to both the New York and Georgia state bars; he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. He is a published author and a Member and Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the New York Military Academy. Newman also performs pro bono services as volunteer employment counsel and advisor to Temple Dor Tamid in Alpharetta, GA. He received his B.A from the State University of New York and his J.D., cum laude, from Albany Law School.

Reice represents management and has extensive experience in the telecommunications and health care fields. He has tried cases in the federal and state courts, before numerous arbitrators and administrative agencies including the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). He has additional expertise in collective bargaining and litigating labor related arbitrations. With prior experience as a vice president of human resources and senior associate general counsel, Reice has particular expertise in employee relations, alternative dispute resolution program design and implementation, management of reductions-in-force, wage and hour, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and affirmative action and corporate employee policy issues. He regularly provides advice and counsel with regards to these and other employment related matters. He received his B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan; he earned his J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law.
