Carlton Fields Attorney, Adam P. Schwartz, Appointed Chair of The Florida Bar Unauthorized Practice of Law 13(A) Committee
Carlton Fields Tampa Shareholder Adam P. Schwartz has been appointed the Chair of The Florida Bar's Unauthorized Practice of Law 13(A) Committee. His term will as Chair will run from May 2006 through July 2007.

The Florida Supreme Court has delegated to The Florida Bar, as an official arm of the court, the duty to investigate and prosecute allegations of unauthorized practice of law. The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar establish one statewide Standing Committee on Unlicensed Practice of Law to supervise circuit unlicensed practice of law committees. The circuit committees investigate reports of unlicensed practice and report their findings to the statewide standing committee. The committee also has the authority to issue proposed formal advisory opinions on whether specific conduct constitutes the unlicensed practice of law. The proposed opinions are filed with the Supreme Court of Florida.

Schwartz is a member of the Firm's White Collar Crime and Governmental Investigations Practice Group. He practices in the areas of white collar criminal defense, False Claims Act (qui tam), health care fraud, and pharmacy law. Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Schwartz was an Assistant U.S. Attorney with the Eastern District of New York. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Saint Joseph's University in 1991 and received his J.D. from Temple University School of Law in 1995.

Bracewell Partner Named to Rice Board of Trustees
Robert Clarke, senior partner in the Houston office of Bracewell & Giuliani LLP, has been named to Rice University's board of trustees for a four-year term beginning July 1.

While a student at Rice, Clarke served as an officer of Hanszen College and as president of the Student Association. A member of the Thresher staff, the Honor Council and the Army ROTC, Clarke was recognized an outstanding senior and a distinguished military student. He received the Hugh Scott Cameron Service Award, and in 1992 he was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Rice.

""Rice has some ambitious goals for the next several years,"" said Clarke. ""I'm looking forward to the opportunity to help achieve them.""

He was named along with Robert Tudor III, managing director of Goldman, Sachs and Co., and Robert Maxfield, a private investor and co-founder of ROLM Corporation.

Rice President David Leebron said, ""I am very pleased with the additional strength and capability that the election of these trustees will add to the board as we enter an important phase in our planning for the future of Rice.""

Clarke began his career at Bracewell in 1968 where his principal areas of practice included: assisting banks in the United States and abroad in matters involving state and federal banking laws, regulations and supervisory agencies, mergers & acquisitions of financial institutions, strategic planning, independent counsel to boards of directors, new financial services products, management of regulatory risk, and litigation support as an expert witness.

In 1985, Clarke was appointed as U.S. Comptroller of the Currency by President Ronald Reagan then reappointed by President George H.W. Bush. When Clarke's appointment as Comptroller ended, he rejoined Bracewell & Giuliani in 1992 as senior partner and head of the firm's financial services practice. Clarke received the Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 1992 and the Banking Leadership Award from the Western States School of Banking in 1993.

Others serving on the board during the new fiscal year along with Chairman Jim Crownover will be J.D. Michael L. Faltischek To Be Honored by Chabad of Port Washington at Its Fifteenth Anniversary Dinner
Ruskin Moscou Faltischek announced today that Michael L. Faltischek, co-managing partner of the Firm, will be honored by the Chabad of Port Washington at its 15th Anniversary Dinner to be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury, New York. The gala event will support the Expansion of the Chabad Center and benefit its many community-based programs.

Pryor Cashman Completes Real Estate Acquisition for Large North Jersey Real Estate Investment Trus
Pryor Cashman LLP has been assisting Mack-Cali Realty Corporation (NYSE: CLI), having served during that time as securities counsel for this fully-integrated, self-administered, self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT) providing management, leasing, development, construction and other tenant-related services for its class A real estate portfolio since its initial public offering in 1994.

On May 10, 2006, Mack-Cali announced it has completed its acquisition of The Gale Real Estate Services Company and interests in approximately 2.8 million square feet of office properties. The acquisition transaction was financed through the assumption of mortgage debt, the placement of new mortgage debt, credit facility drawings, cash, and the issuance of common operating partnership units.

The Pryor Cashman team that assisted Mack-Cali with this transaction was led by partners Blake Hornick and Steven J. Pierce, associates Alexis Shapiro, Mira Choi, and Heather Winter.

Fine Honored by University at Buffalo School of Law
Robert P. Fine, founder of the Buffalo law firm of Hurwitz & Fine, P.C., has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award for his valuable contributions to the legal profession and the business community at the 44th Annual State University at Buffalo School of Law Alumni Association meeting and dinner. The award is given as recognition of his accomplishments as a business attorney and his assistance to business clients. John J. Robertelli Joins Rivkin Radler As Litigation Partner
William M. Savino, Managing Partner of Rivkin Radler LLP, has announced that John J. Robertelli, of Hackensack, New Jersey, has joined the firm as a Partner in the firm's Insurance & Coverage Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Robertelli will be resident in Rivkin Radler's New Jersey office.

An experienced and accomplished trial attorney, Mr. Robertelli has developed an expertise in defending public entities and employees in wrongful death suits; cases involving significant property damage or catastrophic injuries; civil rights and constitutional claims and employment related matters. He also has expertise in insurance coverage issues, construction site and premises liability, commercial litigation, and product liability. In addition, Mr. Robertelli has served on a special litigation unit designed to combat insurance fraud and to conduct special investigations on behalf of various insurance carriers.

Mr. Robertelli has defended hundreds of cases involving public entities and public employees. He also specializes in appellate practice, and as the coordinator of a very successful litigation team, has been involved in dozens of appeals dealing with a wide array of issues involving public entities and public employees including numerous arguments before the New Jersey Appellate Division and the New Jersey Supreme Court. Mr. Robertelli's work has resulted in various published opinions concerning issues of insurance defense and public entity liability.
