Fasken Martineau partner receives Ontario Bar Association award for excellence in Trusts and Estates
On June 6, 2006 Fasken Martineau partner Elena Hoffstein received the Award for Excellence in Trusts and Estates at a gala dinner for the Trusts and Estates Section of the Ontario Bar Association.

Selected by committee after a peer nomination process, Elena received this honour for her long-standing excellence and reputation in wills, trusts and estate matters. This award represents one of the highest accolades that can be given in this area of practice.

Introduced by colleagues, Corina Weigl, a partner at Fasken Martineau, Terrance Carter of Carter & Associates and Brian Schnurr of Brian Schnurr and Associates, Elena accepted the award from Gerald Owen, Managing Director and Head of Estates and Trusts at Scotiabank's Private Client Group. In her speech, she thanked her many colleagues at Fasken Martineau, clients and family, without whose support her career success and such tremendous professional recognition would not have been possible. Elena is particularly proud to have now joined a very distinguished and small group of winners of the award, including Donna Cappon, Wolfe Goodman, Malcolm Archibald, Rodney Hull and William Allen, all of whom have left a lasting mark in the practice of estates and trusts law in Canada.

Not only is Elena a leader of our Trusts, Wills, Estates and Charities Practice Group, but she is a leader in the field of Trusts and Estates law. Fasken Martineau congratulates Elena Hoffstein for her accomplishment.
