LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP has added 10 attorneys from the bankruptcy and restructuring practices of McDermott Will & Emery and King & Spalding. The new attorneys, including three partners, are based in the firm's Chicago and New York offices.

The Chicago office has added seven attorneys to the firm's core group of bankruptcy and restructuring experts. Lewis S. During his career, Mr. Rosenbloom has managed the representation of virtually every possible stakeholder or participant in major bankruptcy, corporate restructuring, finance, merger and acquisition, and multi-district class litigation matters.

Mr. Rosenbloom's clients have included CNA, Fireman's Fund, State Farm, The Travelers, AM International, Gillett Holdings, Mercury Finance, the Funding Systems companies, North American Car Corporation, Unsecured Creditors Committee in the Federated Department Stores cases, the Senior Bondholders Committee in the Continental Airlines Chapter 11 cases, and the board of directors of Armstrong Holdings, as well as having served as a board member and general counsel of several companies, including affiliates of CIBC Oppenheimer, Idealab Capital Partners, and SBC Communications.

In New York, Lawrence A. Larose joins the firm as head of the corporate restructuring practice. A former partner at King & Spalding and co-head of that firm's financial restructuring practice, Mr. Larose has extensive experience in restructuring investment banks, commercial banks and insurance companies. His principal area of practice is the restructuring of financially troubled entities, both in-court and out-of-court, including mergers and acquisitions, and financial transactions. He represents major financial institutions in the acquisition or disposition of businesses and entities and in the issuance, sale and underwriting of securities.

Mr. Larose was the lead corporate attorney in the representation of Confederation Life Insurance Company and Mutual Benefit Life Insurance Company, the two largest insurance company restructurings in history. He was also chief restructuring counsel to Foster Wheeler Ltd., one of the largest out-of-court restructurings ever consummated. Mr. Larose appears frequently in media commentary on business topics such as CNN and Bloomberg Television.

Two King & Spalding attorneys, Samuel S. Kohn and Sarah Landon Trum, will join Mr. Larose in the New York office.

Two Shareholders in Greenberg Traurig\'s Denver Office Named Among Leading Business Lawyers in Chambers & Partners USA Guide
Troy Eid and George Matava, shareholders in Greenberg Traurig LLP’s Denver office, have been named among the leading business lawyers in the nation in the 2006-2007 Chambers & Partners USA Guide. Seventy-two Greenberg Traurig attorneys were listed this year – an increase of more than 50 percent over the 2005-2006 Chambers USA Guide. Several of the firm’s areas of practice by geographic region also were included.

Chambers & Partners USA Guide selects attorneys for inclusion based on thousands of interviews with practicing lawyers and with clients around the world.

In addition to the individual rankings, Chambers & Partners ranked practice areas by geographic region. The firm received a No. 1 ranking for Banking & Finance; Bankruptcy/Restructuring; Construction; Corporate/M&A; Immigration; Litigation: General Commercial; Litigation: White Collar Crime & Government Investigations; Real Estate; Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use; and Tax.

Greenberg Traurig, LLP is an international, full-service law firm with 1,500 attorneys and governmental affairs professionals in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The firm is ranked seventh on The American Lawyer's Am Law 100 listing of the largest law firms in the U.S., based on number of lawyers.

“Chambers & Partners rankings are important because they are the result of peer and client interviews. These cannot be influenced by advertising commitments or voting from internal sources. We are very proud to see this increase in the number of our attorneys appearing in the guide, as well as having several areas of practice ranked in key markets,” said David Palmer, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Denver office.

Matava was recognized for his skill in intellectual property matters. He serves as co-chair of Greenberg Taurig’s national intellectual property litigation group and heads the IP practice in its Denver office. He has focused on intellectual property matters for the past 20 years and has extensive experience litigating and trying patent, trademark, copyright, e-commerce, trade secret and antitrust-related claims. Matava represents companies in patent cases in numerous industries including automotive products, biomedical devices, computer hardware and software, telecommunications, cable and satellite television, biodegradable plastics and more. In the trademark and copyright fields, his clients are in industries ranging from brewing and real estate franchising to telecommunications and consumer products.

Eid was recognized for the second year in a row for excellence in environmental law, which runs the gamut of natural resources from energy to federal Indian law. He concentrates in legal project management, coordinating litigation as well as corporate and governmental representations in complex matters involving multiple law firms, consultants and other cross-disciplinary teams. On June 9, Eid was nominated by President Bush to be the United States Attorney for the District of Colorado.
