Andrews Davis Attorneys Receive Awards from Oklahoma County Bar Association and Oklahoma Bar Association
The Oklahoma County Bar Association held its Annual Awards Luncheon at the Oklahoma City Marriott Hotel on June 16, 2006. Among the honorees were those Oklahoma County attorneys who received their 50 and 60 year service awards from the Oklahoma Bar Association. C.Temple Bixler and Robert B. Milsten from Andrews Davis law firm in Oklahoma City received the 50 year service awards from the Oklahoma Bar Association.

The Oklahoma County Bar Association also presented award for pro bono work by an attorney. The 2006 Pro Bono Service Award was presented to Anne E. Zachritz of the Andrews Davis law firm in Oklahoma City. Nominated for this award by the Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, Ms. Zachritz has been a volunteer for this group for several years. She has worked on five cases representing children in cases of alleged neglect and abuse.

""Receiving such awards is a great honor"", said D. Joe Rockett, president of Andrews Davis. ""Bob, Temple, and Anne are attorneys whose commitment is never ending. At Andrews Davis, we believe people make the difference. I am proud to say that all three award winners are much respected by their peers as well as their clients."" added Rockett.

Temple Bixler received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1954. He received a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1956. Bixler joined the Firm in 1964 and has practiced law for 50 years. He has extensive experience in all aspects of probate, real estate and oil and gas law.

Bob Milsten received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Indiana University in 1954, and received his Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1956. Milsten has 50 years of experience in the practice of law with particular emphasis in handling tax controversies. His primary areas of practice include taxation, commercial law, and estate planning.

Anne E. Zachritz received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Colorado State University in 1985. She received a Juris Doctorate Degree from William Mitchell College of Law in 1991. She is licensed to practice in Oklahoma, Minnesota, Texas, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, and is admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, all federal District Courts in Oklahoma, the Northern District of Texas, and the District of Minnesota. Zachritz has been with the firm since 1999 and has a significant background in employment defense, commercial litigation and insurance defense.

David Peden Elected Chair of State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section
David Peden, a partner in the construction law section of Porter & Hedges, was recently elected chair of the State Bar of Texas Construction Law Section for 2006-2007. From 2005 to 2006, David served as vice-chair of the section.

Mr. Peden has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Construction Law, since 2004, and was selected as a “Texas Super Lawyer” in Construction Litigation in the 2003 - 2005 Texas Monthly surveys.

Super Lawyers Honors Three Gibbons Attorneys from Philadelphia Office
The Pennsylvania Super Lawyers has included three Gibbons attorneys in its roster of leading lawyers in the state. Stephen J. Imbriglia was named in the Personal Injury Defense: Products area and Steven D. Johnson and Madeline M. Sherry were named in the Civil Litigation Defense area. In addition, Ms. Sherry was also named one of the state's top 50 women lawyers.

Mr. Imbriglia, Mr. Johnson and Ms. Sherry join 31 additional attorneys in the firm who are named to the New Jersey Super Lawyers list.

National Law Journal Names John Gibbons One of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America
John J. Gibbons, a Director in the Gibbons Business & Commercial Litigation Department, has been named to the National Law Journal's list of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America. This list includes an impressive roster of leaders in the legal profession throughout the country. According to the publication, the editors ""were looking for lawyers who had a national impact in their fields and beyond . . . lawyers who have the power to shape public affairs, launch industries, shake things up and get things done.""

John Gibbons is the former chief judge of the 3d U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for 20 years and the author of more than 800 published opinions. He is the co-founder and co-director of the John J. Gibbons Fellowship in Public Interest and Constitutional Law, which undertakes public interest and constitutional law projects and litigation throughout the nation. With two fellows dedicated to this program, as well as more than 30 additional lawyers firm-wide assisting in these efforts, the firm devotes more than 12,700 hours of work annually to pro bono efforts. He argued Rasul v. Bush before the U.S. Supreme Court, establishing the courts' jurisdiction over the Guantanamo Bay detainees and served as co-counsel in challenges to New Jersey's ban on same-sex marriage.

Summe, Humphrey and Schatz are named 2006 Ohio Rising Stars
Law & Politics Publishers selected three WH&E attorneys as Ohio Rising Stars for 2006: Kurt Summe, Tom Humphrey, and Brett Schatz.

Law & Politics performs the polling, research and selection. To be eligible, an attorney must be age 40 or younger, or in practice 10 years or less. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Ohio get selected as an outstanding young attorney or a Rising Star.

Kurt Summe and Tom Humphrey were named on the Intellectual Property area of law. Brett Schatz was named in the Intellectual Property Litigation area.

Super Lawyers are Washington's top lawyers as chosen by their peers, and represent the top five percent of attorneys in the state. In addition, both Mary Spillane and Sheryl Willert were named to the Top 50 Women Super Lawyers® for 2006.
