For the sixth consecutive year, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP has been recognized by corporate directors as one of America’s top 20 law firms, according to a recent survey compiled by Corporate Board Member magazine (“America’s Best Corporate Law Firms,” July/August 2006).

Marshall S. Honeyman has joined the Overland Park office of the Lathrop & Gage L.C. law firm as of counsel in the intellectual property and patents practice area.

Honeyman’s practice includes all aspects of intellectual property law with an emphasis on advising clients with respect to patent matters. More specifically, he handles the filing and prosecution of patent applications, conducts numerous infringement and validity analyses, and advises clients with respect to patent litigation matters.

Honeyman earned his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in 1988 and his juris doctorate from Washburn University in 1991. Jack M. Merritts has joined the Denver office of the Lathrop & Gage, L.C. law firm as of counsel in the real estate practice area.
