Messerli & Kramer Foundation Organized
The shareholders of Messerli & Kramer elected the following individuals to serve on the newly organized Messerli & Kramer Foundation Board:

Mary A. Anderson; Steven D. Cobb; Mercedes A. Gustafson; Susan M. Lach; John W. Lang; Joseph W. Lawver; Randall D. Olson; Nancy M. Stevens; and Georgann B. Wenisch.

Officers elected follow: Joseph W. Lawver, Chairman; Susan M. Lach, President; Randall D. Olson, Treasurer; and Georgann B. Wenisch, Secretary.

The Messerli & Kramer Foundation will be organized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and will operate to advance charitable giving in the community. The Foundation was organized to commemorate the firm's 40th Anniversary and to recognize the historic community involvement of its founders, William F. Messerli and Ross E. Kramer.

Shiela Schmidt And James Giel Join Gust Rosenfeld
Gust Rosenfeld, P.L.C. announces the addition of Shiela B. Schmidt and James T. Giel as members of the firm.

Ms. Schmidt, formerly of Jennings Strouss & Salmon, will focus her practice in the areas of water law, environmental law, commercial real estate transactions and public law. She received her J.D. in 1987 from the University of Arizona.

Mr. Giel joins the public finance department of the firm from Lewis & Roca. He has served as bond counsel, issuer’s counsel, borrower’s counsel and underwriter’s counsel in numerous transactions throughout his career. He earned his J.D. in 1993 from Temple University.

“We continue to expand our public law department, and both Shiela and Jim have experience that brings greater depth to our practice. We are delighted that they have joined the firm and their skills will enhance our capability to serve our public sector clients,” said Scott Ruby, member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Founded in 1921, Gust Rosenfeld provides legal counsel to individuals, private and public corporations and governments. While known for its public law and finance practice, the firm also maintains significant practices in the areas of real estate, corporate, litigation, labor & employment, creditors' rights and franchise law. The firm maintains offices in Phoenix and Tucson.

Loeb & Loeb LLP announced today that nationally recognized, business and restructuring attorney, Karl E. Block, will join the firm as a partner in the Corporate and Restructuring Group. Mr. Block was previously with Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP.

Mr. Block, who joins our Los Angeles Office, has significant experience in business law, finance, acquisitions, work-outs, high profile reorganizations and commercial transactions. His clients have included a variety of insurance companies, manufacturers, technology firms, consumer products companies, venture capital firms, asset based lenders, entertainment companies and organizations in the health care industry.
