Richard Pincus Named As One of Top 100 Labor Attorneys in America
Richard Pincus, a partner in the Chicago office, has been named to the list of Top One Hundred Labor Attorneys in the United States for 2006, as compiled by Labor Relations Institute, Inc.

Selected from more than 8,700 attorneys, Pincus ranks among the top one percent of labor attorneys in the country as determined by the number of National Labor Relations Board elections in which each attorney provided representation and the success of those election outcomes.

The criteria included a requirement that each attorney must have represented clients in at least 22 representation elections during the last 10 years (based on Notices of Appearance filed with the NLRB as determined by LRI), at least one of which occurred since Jan. 1, 2005. In addition, the attorney must have maintained a win rate of at least 50 percent (based on NLRB certified election results). Withdrawals are counted as a win.

Pincus has devoted his entire professional career to the practice of labor and employment law. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a trial and supervisory attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. Since entering private practice, he has handled a broad range of issues for employers including numerous employment cases before administrative agencies and federal trial and appellate courts, dealing with race, age, sex and disability discrimination. Pincus is a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, an honor limited to a small group of labor lawyers nationally who are recognized by their peers for their outstanding reputation in their field. He has also been selected as an Illinois ""Super Lawyer"" limited to five percent of the lawyers practicing in his specialty.
