Holland & Knight Partners Named to Million Dollar Advocates Forum
Holland & Knight announced today that Tampa litigation partners Bradford ""Brad"" Kimbro and Michael ""Mike"" Chapman have been named members of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

The Million Dollar Advocates Forum is a prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Less than one percent of U.S. lawyers are members. The organization was begun in 1993 and now has approximately 3000 members. Forum membership acknowledges excellence in advocacy, and provides members with a national network of experienced colleagues for information exchange and professional referral.

Brad Kimbro is a trial lawyer whose practice emphasizes commercial litigation, including actions involving contract disputes, fraud, shareholder disputes, dissenters'' rights, directors'' and officers'' liability, securities, and business torts. He serves as the Executive Partner for Holland & Knight''s Tampa Bay region.

Michael Chapman is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on commercial litigation. His experience includes contract disputes, fraud, shareholder disputes, dissenters'' rights, taxation, directors'' and officers'' liability, securities, real estate, business torts, non-competition agreements and eminent domain. He is Practice Group Leader of the firm''s Litigation Section in the Tampa Bay area.

Hogan & Hartson Given John G. Theban Award for Meritorious Service by Family and Child Services of Washington, D.C.
Family and Child Services of Washington, D.C. presented Hogan & Hartson LLP with the John G. Theban Award for Meritorious Service at a ceremony held on Saturday, October 28. The firm has represented Family and Child Services for more than 25 years on a wide range of issues. Family and Child Services also presented special awards to firm real estate partner Bruce Parmley and energy associate Scott Loughlin for their extensive assistance in the sale-leaseback of Family and Child Services' old headquarters and the acquisition of its new headquarters.

Family and Child Services was founded in 1882 and is one of the most important providers of direct support services to individuals and families in the Washington community. Family and Child Services provides a broad range of professional services including a youth camp, an adoption resource center, mental health counseling, and extensive support services for seniors.

Hogan & Hartson and Litigation Partner Receive Outstanding Legal Services Awards From National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty
Hogan & Hartson LLP was presented with an Outstanding Legal Services Award by the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NCADP) at a dinner in connection with NCADP's annual conference on October 30. NCADP also honored Hogan & Hartson litigation partner Jonathan L. Abram with a Legal Services Award.

NCADP has a 30-year history of organizing opposition to the death penalty. Its awards to Hogan & Hartson and Jonathan Abram recognize the firm's advocacy on behalf of individuals on death row and in broader-based research and writing on the operation of the death penalty.

Ulmer & Berne LLP Attorney Kenneth A. Bravo Elected President of The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law Alumni Society
Kenneth A. Bravo, a partner with Ulmer & Berne LLP, has been elected to serve as president of the Moritz Law Alumni Society at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.

As president, Mr. Bravo will assist in the recruitment of applicants, participate in alumni activities and serve as an overall representative for the school to alumni. He also serves on the executive committee of the Alumni National Council, a group that provides feedback and counsel to Dean Nancy H. Rogers.

As a partner at Ulmer & Berne, Mr. Bravo holds extensive experience in both business litigation and white-collar criminal defense. In business litigation, his concentrations include broker-dealer defense, trade secrets/unfair competition, contract disputes and health care. His white-collar criminal defense background includes antitrust; fraud; SEC, NYSE and NASD investigations; income tax and health care. He also has 12 years of service with the U.S. Department of Justice, concentrating in the investigation and prosecution of organized crime and complex fraud cases.

Strasburger & Price Receives Gold Award for Pro Bono Hours Worked

Nina B. Stryker Elected ACTEC Fellow
Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP is pleased to announce that partner Nina B. Stryker has recently been named as a fellow to the American College of Trust and Estate Council (ACTEC). ACTEC is a professional association consisting of approximately 2,700 lawyers from throughout the United States. Fellows of the College are nominated by other Fellows in their geographic area and are elected by the membership at large. A lawyer cannot apply for membership in the College. Fellows are selected on the basis of professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.

Stryker is a member and Co-Chair of the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department. Her practice is devoted exclusively to estate and trust law, with an emphasis on estate related litigation. Stryker also has considerable experience in all phases of estate and trust administration. Stryker was named as one of Pennsylvania’s "Super Lawyers" as listed in both the Philadelphia Magazine (June 2006) and the Law and Politics Magazine, "Pennsylvania Super Lawyers 2006" (June edition).

Stryker received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history and social studies from Ursinus College (1978), Collegeville, PA, and her Juris Doctor from Villanova University School of Law (1982), Villanova, PA. She also holds an Estates and Trusts Specialist Certificate from the Institute for Paralegal Studies in Philadelphia.

Prior to joining Obermayer in 1996, she practiced estate and trust law for nine years as an associate with Reed Smith Shaw & McClay, Philadelphia. Prior to that, she was an associate with Scott & Lyons, Warrington, PA, where she served as solicitor to the Springfield Township Zoning Hearing Board in Bucks County. Stryker was also a law clerk to the Hon. William Hart Rufe III in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas, where she was responsible for all phases of research and preparation of drafting memoranda and trial court opinions and orders.

Stryker is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. She is a member of (and Chair of) the Register of Wills and Orphans’ Court Rules Committee of the Philadelphia County Probate Section of the Bar, and a member of the Bucks County and Philadelphia County Estate Planning Councils. She also a member of the Philadelphia County Probate Section Executive Committee.

She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Third District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Tax Court.
