Four N&R Attorneys Named Rising Stars
Needle & Rosenberg, P.C. today announces that four of its intellectual property attorneys – Bruce H. Becker, M.D., Christopher L. Curfman, Ph.D., Miles E. Hall, D.V.M., and Scott D. Marty, Ph.D. – have been named “Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars” in the annual survey produced by legal publisher Law & Politics and printed in the October 2006 edition of Atlanta magazine.

Reflecting the fact that Needle & Rosenberg has one of the highest percentages of advanced degrees per professional of any law firm in the country, all four attorneys hold doctorate degrees in addition to their law degrees.

Only 2.5 percent of Georgia attorneys are named Georgia Super Lawyers - Rising Stars. All Georgia Rising Stars are 40 years of age or younger, or have been in practice for 10 years or less. Georgia Super Lawyers – Rising Stars, representing more than 60 practice areas, is published annually in Atlanta magazine, which reaches more than 269,500 readers.

The top up-and-coming lawyers in Georgia are chosen by Georgia Super Lawyers through the independent research of Law & Politics. No other legal publisher uses a multi-step process to identify qualified candidates that incorporates peer recognition and professional achievement. Law & Politics uses a system of balloting, peer evaluation, and internal research that acts as a system of checks and balances that produces a diverse and comprehensive listing of outstanding lawyers.

At Needle & Rosenberg, Becker, Curfman, Hall and Marty are all associates.
- Named a “Rising Star” for the second year in a row, Dr. Becker has been engaged in all aspects of patent prosecution pertaining to biotechnology and biomedical devices.
