Klarquist Sparkman, LLP Attorneys Named Oregon Super Lawyers
Kenneth S. Klarquist and John D. Vandenberg were recognized by their peers as Oregon Super Lawyers for 2006. The list of Super Lawyers was published in November, 2006 and distributed to attorneys in Oregon.

Oregon Super Lawyers magazine surveys lawyers throughout the State of Oregon and conducts additional research to identify lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Only 5 percent of the lawyers in Oregon are named Super Lawyers. Klarquist Sparkman, LLP is proud to have two of its top lawyers named Super Lawyers for 2006.

“We are extremely pleased to see both Ken Klarquist and John Vandenberg on the list,” said David P. Petersen, senior partner. “Peer recognition is a confirmation of the commitment both John and Ken have to providing excellent representation to an outstanding group of clients.”

Mr. Klarquist joined Klarquist Sparkman, LLP in 1951, after working in the patent department of what is now known as the Atomic Energy Commission. Mr. Klarquist still actively serves the Firm today as Senior Counsel, and recently celebrated his 55th year with the Firm. His practice has involved extensive patent and trademark litigation, trademark protection and preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He also evaluates trademark availability and registrability in the U.S. and in foreign jurisdictions. Mr. Klarquist now focuses his practice to plant patent and trademark fields.

Mr. Vandenberg joined Klarquist Sparkman, LLP in 1989 and has been litigating patent disputes since 1983. Mr. Vandenberg now helps lead an expanding litigation practice handling patent and trademark litigations throughout the country. He has helped lead Klarquist Sparkman, LLP into becoming a nationally recognized patent litigation firm, representing technology leaders such as Microsoft (since 1991) and Amazon.com (since 2000).
