Ronald Machen Selected to The American Lawyer's "Fab Fifty" List of Young Litigation Stars
The American Lawyer recognized WilmerHale’s Ronald Machen as one of the nation's 50 most accomplished litigators under the age of 45 in this month's issue. The article commends Ron for his ability to generate business and quotes Litigation Department Co-Chair Howard Shapiro describing Ron, saying that clients "meet him once and they keep coming back." The magazine also commends Ron for making a successful transition to private practice after having been a federal prosecutor.

The reporting team at The American Lawyer interviewed hundreds of lawyers, including senior partners, firm managers, and government and public interest attorneys, for their recommendations regarding rising stars. From a list of hundreds, they narrowed the list to 50 outstanding litigators who have "made their marks already . . . and will set the pace for the conflict-ridden future." In describing the attributes required to make the Fab Fifty list, the American Lawyer noted that, "splendid lawyering skills help . . . but above all, the basic requirement seems to be a zeal for the work, and a ferocious desire to succeed no matter the obstacle faced.
