S. McKinley Gray, III Becomes New Leader of Ward and Smith, P.A.'s Labor and Employment Section
Ward and Smith, P.A. is pleased to announce that S. McKinley Gray, III became the Leader of the Labor and Employment Practice Section effective January 1, 2007. Following the announcement, Kenneth R. Wooten, Co-Managing Director of Ward and Smith, P.A., said, "The Firm is pleased to have Ken Gray leading the Labor and Employment Section. He is an excellent attorney, a practical administrator, and a great mentor. Ken will maintain the high standards of his predecessor, Albert R. Bell, Jr., who will continue practicing law and helping clients avoid and resolve human relations issues in the workplace."

Mr. Gray's practice experience encompasses various areas of general and employment related litigation. He advises clients and litigates cases involving all forms of employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, and breach of employment contracts from small start-up companies to Fortune 500 corporations. He is a frequent lecturer on employment discrimination, workplace retaliation, workers' compensation, and wage and hour law issues. Mr. Gray has been rated by his peers as being "preeminent" in his respective field of law and serves in leadership roles with various legal and civic organizations. He is a former president of the Craven County Bar Association and a former two-term president of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Coastal Carolina.
