Perrone Named Dykema’s Lansing Office Managing Member
Dykema, a premier Midwest-based law firm, today announced that Bill Perrone has been named Managing Member of the firm’s Lansing office. Perrone replaces Richard McLellan, who served as the Lansing office's Managing Member for the past 24 years.

"In addition to being a skilled and experienced government policy and transactional attorney, Bill has developed strong relationships with the lawyers and government relations professionals in the Lansing office and has contributed to the growth of the office," said Rex Schlaybaugh Jr., Dykema’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "In this leadership role, his unique talents and deep knowledge will further bolster what is already a substantial team in Lansing."

Perrone joined Dykema’s Lansing office in 1980 and possesses a broad range of legal experience related to state government. He has played a crucial role in the growth of the Lansing office with his work for Dykema’s Government Policy, Consumer Financial Services, Trade Association, Product Safety, Administrative Law, and Elections and Campaign Compliance practices.

"Richard McLellan has led the firm’s Lansing office for more than two decades," continued Schlaybaugh. "His leadership and strategic positioning of the office have created a foundation for continued success in the future, and Bill has the depth of experience to build on Richard’s significant accomplishments as Managing Manager of the office."

Dykema’s Lansing office was established in 1973 and includes attorneys and government relations professionals with significant experience related to government policy, energy, insurance, corporate finance, litigation, and employment matters.

Sughrue Mion Celebrates Golden Anniversary in 2007
1957. Half a century ago - and how things have changed! Elvis Presley was the international singing rage. Dwight Eisenhower was the President of the United States. Letters were received and answered by mail, taking days to complete a communication. Copies were made using carbon paper or the always messy mimeograph machine. Errors or changes in letters, patent and trademark applications or briefs to be filed in court required that secretaries type and retype them until they were deemed acceptable. There were no computers, no e-mail and no faxes. No one had been to the moon or even into outer space. Technology was in the infancy of its remarkable boom.

1957. Half a century ago - Sughrue Mion PLLC began “protecting the universe of ideas”, servicing clients with Intellectual Property Law advice, guiding them through the ever increasing complexities of law and technology and always meeting clients’ needs as each new scientific advancement and marketing innovation occurred.

2007. Today. We at Sughrue Mion are pleased to be celebrating our 50th Anniversary of service to our clients and the Intellectual Property Community. We look forward to providing those services for the next 50 years.
