King & Spalding, a leading international law firm, represented the Atlanta-based banking corporation, SunTrust Bank as Administrative Agent and SunTrust Capital Markets, Inc. as Lead Arranger in connection with $130 million of first lien/second lien financing for GOE Lima, LLC ("GOE") which closed in the 4th quarter of 2006.

The financing will be used to construct GOE's first ethanol plant, known as Hanthorn Road, in Lima, Ohio. J.S Alberici is now running the construction.

Robert J. Romero Named to Management Committee of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP
Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP welcomes Robert Romero’s appointment to the firm’s seven-member Management Committee. Mr. Romero’s appointment illustrates the firm’s ongoing commitment to quality and diversity.

Mr. Romero, partner-in-charge of Hinshaw’s San Francisco office, will now bring his unique experience to the firm’s highest governing body. “I am very pleased to welcome Robert to the Management Committee. He is a great asset to the firm’s governing body. His expertise and insights will have positive effects on the Committee’s important decisions,” said Donald Mrozek, chairman of Hinshaw.

Mr. Romero’s national practice centers around complex jury trial work. He has successfully tried a number of jury trial cases throughout California and the West. In one instance, Mr. Romero skillfully obtained a favorable verdict for a national insurer in a bad faith action that followed a securities class-action lawsuit in California, in which a judgment of $23 million was rendered.

Mr. Romero has also obtained an $11 million reduction in a jury verdict on behalf of a national client, and in 2005 obtained defense verdicts in malpractice cases in California. During his highly successful litigation career, Mr. Romero has also defended national insurers against advertising injury claims, an emerging field which has resulted from increased intellectual property suits.

Mr. Romero is currently a member of the Defense Research Institute and serves on the Executive Committee of the Insurance Practice Section of the San Francisco Bar Association. He was recently elected to the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. In 2006, Mr. Romero was named an Insurance Coverage practice area “Super Lawyer” by Northern California Super Lawyers magazine.

Mr. Romero is a 1985 graduate of California State University, Sacramento. He received his law degree in 1988 from the University of California Davis, King School of Law.
