Buchanan's Federal Government Relations Team Grows with Addition of Procurement Practice.
Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC announced today that a team of federal procurement professionals has joined the firm in Washington, D.C.

Bethany A. Noble is the firm's new director of federal procurement. She has been active in the procurement industry for more than a decade, and focuses her practice on assisting clients in all areas of the federal sector with an emphasis on biotechnology, biodefense and national security. Joining her is David A. Aimone, who will serve as the assistant director of federal government procurement. Noble and Aimone have worked together for more than four years, and join Buchanan from Greenberg Traurig, where Noble founded that firm's Federal Marketing practice.

Noble and Aimone provide full-service procurement services for clients who range from new and emerging companies to multi-national corporations. One of their recent successes entailed assisting a small biotech company secure nearly $100 million in a variety of federal government contracts, up from zero in previous years.

Noble indicated that her decision to join to Buchanan was a result of several factors, including the people and complementary practices. She said, "One of the reasons I wanted to join Buchanan was the team here. I know the people, respect them and am certain that together we can provide first class service to our clients."

Noble also added that Buchanan's highly regarded FDA practice will be instrumental to the work she does for biotech clients.

Ron Platt, head of the firm's federal government relations section, said that Noble's procurement practice will create a bridge between the firm's government relations and government contracts work: "Bethany and David develop federal opportunities that are important to our clients. Our government relations team makes things happen, and government contracts makes sure agreements are in the best terms for the client. With all three in place, we can literally help clients at every stage of development."

In other recent government relations news at Buchanan, the firm announced on January 3 that a group of government relations and public finance attorneys led by shareholder David Sweet — former member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (D-Washington County) and campaign manager of Ed Rendell's successful run for Pennsylvania governor in 2002 — joined the firm in Harrisburg. Accompanying Sweet were shareholder Donna Kreiser and counsel Eloise Frazier, both of whom have significant governmental experience.

About Bethany Noble

Noble focuses on federal marketing, procurement and coordination of non-traditional allies on behalf of clients ranging from emerging companies to multinational corporations. Her industry concentration includes biotechnology, national security, biodefense, emerging technology and biometrics. Prior to joining Buchanan, Noble founded and served as national chair of Greenberg Traurig's Federal Marketing Division. She has co-founded a lobbying firm and served as executive vice president of a foundation focused on technology issues.

Noble is deeply involved with the community, including membership in the United States Association of Triathletes, Reston Area Triathletes, Reston Runners and Dead Runners Society. Professional involvement includes work as the private sector coordinator for the president's federal Acquisition Advisory (SARA) panel and membership with the National Contract Managers Association.

About David Aimone

Aimone focuses on conducting extensive research, coordinating business development, managing clients and monitoring congressional activity such as hearings, media and legislation. Prior to joining Buchanan, David served as assistant director of federal marketing for Greenberg Traurig, where he served as primary client manager for multiple companies. In addition to directing and organizing research for the department, David provides client support by supplying pertinent and critical information that improves clients' day-to-day operations with the federal government.

David studied psychology at the George Washington University. He is a member of the D.C. Bocce League and is a former member of the Fair Competition Coalition. He served as a volunteer for the Hispanic Heritage Awards from 2002-2003.
