Wolf Haldenstein Announces Settlement of St. Paul Travelers ERISA Litigation
United States District Judge John R. Tunheim preliminarily considered the proposed settlement of the action captioned Spiziri v. The St. Paul Travelers Companies, Inc., et al., C.A.No. 04-5096 JRT/FLN. Judge Tunheim has scheduled the Final Settlement Hearing for March 20, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, 300 South Fourth Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota, in Courtroom 13E. The action asserted claims for alleged violations of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, with respect to the St. Paul Travelers 401(k) Savings Plan (together with any predecessor plans and any plans merged into it).

This settlement is distinct from a recent settlement reached in the case captioned In re St. Paul Travelers Securities Litigation, No. 04-CV-3801, for which you may have received a similar notice. That case involves different parties, different claims, and different rights and obligations.

LEIPPRANDT ELECTED CHAIR OF ABC WESTERN MICHIGAN CHAPTER
Aileen Leipprandt was recently elected as the first woman, first attorney, and first non-contractor, to serve as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Associated Builders and Contractors Western Michigan Chapter. The Chapter has nearly 510 members and is the 10th largest of the 80 ABC chapters nationwide.

Aileen practices commercial litigation and construction litigation. She has represented a variety of clients on behalf of the firm in these areas, including large retailers, manufacturers, governmental agencies, owners, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers. Aileen completed her undergraduate studies in business and history magna cum laude at Alma College and she received her law degree from Indiana University.

Jonathan Rinde and Bridget Dorfman of Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP to Speak on "Current Issues in Storm Water and Wetland Regulations
Jonathan E. Rinde and Bridget L. Dorfman, attorneys with Manko, Gold, Katcher & Fox, LLP (MGKF), an environmental and land use law firm, will address engineers, construction and project managers, environmental professionals and planners on “Current Issues in Storm Water and Wetland Regulations in Pennsylvania.” They will speak during a one-day seminar presented by Lorman Education Services on Tuesday, January 30 at the Crowne Plaza in Allentown, Pa.

Dorfman and Rinde will discuss storm water and wetland laws and regulations as part of a seminar that includes panel discussions on storm water permitting for construction sites; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ regulatory jurisdiction and authority; recent U.S. Supreme Court cases, including Rapanos v. United States; and recent trends in Pennsylvania’s wetland permitting program.

Jonathan Rinde is a partner with MGKF and focuses his practice on matters relating to the environmental aspects of real estate development and management, water, waste and air regulation and permitting, wetlands regulations, Brownfields redevelopment, military base conversions, business transactions and environmental litigation.

Dorfman is a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School who focuses her practice on transactional and regulatory compliance matters.

Rinde is on the board of directors of the Conservancy of Montgomery County and also serves as a member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Lands Preservation Board. He is also on the Steering Committee for the Harpur College (Binghamton University) Alumni National Law Advisory Council.

The Crowne Plaza Allentown is located at 904 Hamilton Street in Allentown, Pa. The seminar is presented by Lorman Education Services.

Kelley Drye Represents Chicago Bears Linebacker
Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher retained Kelley Drye as counsel in connection with a temporary restraining order alleging a violation of the Illinois Right of Publicity Act. In addition to addressing the right of an athlete or celebrity to control the use of his or her name and likeness, the case involved complex copyright, trademark and licensing issues. Urlacher, a five-time Pro-Bowl player and 2005 NFL Defensive Player of the Year, retained the firm to represent him and his business concerns in a variety of matters, including intellectual property protection, transaction negotiations, and estate and tax planning.

Holland & Hart Receives Alliance Of Professional Women Award
Holland & Hart received the Corporate Member of the Year award presented by the Alliance of Professional Women.

This award is presented annually at the APW's December Holiday Luncheon. The corporate winner is selected by a vote of the APW Board based on involvement within the organization. The Board considers companies that have shown ongoing support of the organization, sponsored events and fundraisers like APW's Casino Night, have active members in the organization, committees, and Board, and helped APW in other ways.

Holland & Hart has been actively involved with the organization for more than 15 years and currently has nearly 10 professional members in Denver's APW including Barbara Crawford, who is currently on the organization's Board of Directors.

Prairie Ann Bly Joins Gray Plant Mooty’s Business and General Litigation Practice
The law firm of Gray Plant Mooty is pleased to announce that Prairie Ann Bly has joined the firm’s Minneapolis office as an associate in the Business and General Litigation Practice Group.
