Three Dunn Carney Attorneys selected for The Best Lawyers in America
Dunn Carney is pleased to announce that Tom Tongue, Gil Parker, and Ken Antell have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2006 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. Tongue is in the Commercial Litigation list. Parker and Antell are included in the Real Estate Law list.

The Best Lawyers in America is regarded by the profession and the public as a "definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States." The list started in 1983 and is now published annually.

Antholz, Barhoum and Wilmot Join Dunn Carney
Shane J. Antholz, John R. Barhoum and Matthew R. Wilmot have joined Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue as associates to support a growing litigation and business practice. Antholz will focus on estate planning and administration, tax and business law, particularly, business transactions. In addition to business and commercial litigation, Barhoum will focus on products liability and insurance coverage litigation while Wilmot will focus on environmental, natural resources and water law.

Antholz practiced for three and a half years for Hornecker, Cowling, Hassen & Heysell, LLP in Medford, Oregon prior to joining Dunn Carney. He received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University in 1998, his law degree from University of Oregon and a LL.M. in Taxation from University of Washington in 2002.

Barhoum was a litigation associate with Lane Powell prior to joining Dunn Carney. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Lewis & Clark College in 2001 and his law degree, cum laude, in 2004 from Lewis & Clark Law School.

Wilmot joined Dunn Carney after practicing litigation for Lorber Greenfield & Polito, LLP in Poway, California after law school. He received his undergraduate degree from Willamette University in 2001 in Rhetoric and Media Studies and his law degree from Willamette University College of Law, cum laude, in 2005.

Carolyn Larson Joins Dunn Carney
Carolyn L. Larson has joined Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue as Of Counsel to support a growing real estate and business practice. Larson will focus on real estate, business, estate planning, regulatory and transportation law. She joins the Dunn Carney Real Estate and Land Use Practice group of twelve attorneys who specialize in real estate and land use law and represent purchasers, sellers, owners, developers, tenants and lenders.

“I’m pleased to join the outstanding real estate and land use team at Dunn Carney,” said Larson.

Prior to joining Dunn Carney, Larson was a shareholder with Kilmer, Voorhees & Laurick P.C. in Portland. For the first part of her legal career, she served as in-house counsel for Union Pacific Railroad Company. “Railroad law” remains an important part of her practice.

Larson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado in 1972 and then attended the University of Denver School of Law where she received a J.D. in 1976.

Dunn Carney Starts Insurance Coverage Blog
Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue LLP has started an internet blog focused on insurance coverage matters. David Rossmiller, a litigator who specializes in insurance coverage and a former award-winning investigative newspaper reporter for 10 years, will be the primary author and managing editor of the blog. He will write about recent cases in insurance coverage matters, as well as industry developments and news.

Robinson & Cole Trial & Appellate Advocacy Lawyer's Non-Competition Article Featured in Cambridge Chamber of Commerce
R&C Trial & Appellate Advocacy attorney John R. Bauer wrote an article, "Enforcing Non-Competition Agreements against out-of-state former employees," that appeared in the December 2006 issue of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce's newsletter Connections. The article addresses how Massachusetts employers should consider the law governing non-competition agreements in each of the states where their employees work or risk losing the ability to enforce those agreements. O'Melveny & Myers represented privately-held Celequest Corporation in its recently announced agreement to be acquired by Cognos. Fulbright Partner Rachel Clingman Named One of 113 BTI Client Service All-Stars
BTI named Fulbright partner Rachel Clingman to the 2007 Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms. This year’s group consists of 113 attorneys who were nominated by one of their Fortune 1000 clients to be honored for their exceptional service.

BTI interviewed more than 250 individual corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 and large organizations about their needs and priorities, law firms of choice, and the quality of service they receive. Each corporate counsel was asked if there is an individual attorney whose client service performance is head-and-shoulders above the rest.

Clingman was one of 113 in the country selected. Clingman was cited for her extensive trial experience in areas such as aviation claims; breach of contract, fraud and deceptive trade practices; toxic tort, environmental and mass exposure claims; shareholder disputes and product liability.

Clingman’s recent honors include listings in 2007 The Best Lawyers in America; 2006 Top Lawyers, H Magazine; 2005 and 2006 Texas Super Lawyers, Texas Monthly.
