Foley Hoag Partner Michael B. Keating Authors "Civility" in Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts
Michael B. Keating and Katherine J. Fick contributed a chapter on civility to the second edition of Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts, (ed. Robert L. Haig), published by the American Bar Association's Litigation Section.

The chapter offers practical advice on proceeding with civility, working through uncivil behavior, and concludes with best practices checklists on how to identify and address incivility through discovery, depositions, and in court.

Martha K. Gooding of the Orange County Lawyer (December 2006) noted, "...in the event that any lawyer is unclear on the very basics - and my twenty-plus years in the practice of law suggests that, regrettably, some lawyers are - the treatise includes a welcome new chapter entitled, 'Civility'. I have to wonder whether any of the lawyers who need this chapter will actually read it. But I applaud the editors for including it."

Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (January 8, 2007) considers the authors of Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts "...truly a 'Who's Who' of the bar" and cites the new chapter on civility by "Boston's own" Michael Keating. (Reviewer: Neil McKittrick)
