James Blomstrom Named Super Lawyer for 4th Straight Year
Attorney James Blomstrom, a member in the law firm of Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd., has been recognized by his colleagues in Ohio as a “Super Lawyer” for the fourth straight year.

The publishers of Super Lawyers magazines award the Super Lawyer designation annually to Ohio’s top lawyers, based on balloting by their peers. More than 28,000 ballots were mailed to Ohio lawyers as part of the selection process.

The list of Ohio Super Lawyers will be published in the January editions of Cincinnati and Ohio Super Lawyersmagazines. The Super Lawyers magazines are published in Pennsylvania, New York and several other states by Key Professional Media, which also publishes regional editions of Law & Politics and Super Doctors magazines.

Blomstrom, based in HHM’s Youngstown office, was recognized in the area of civil litigation defense. He has been practicing law for more than 30 years. He also practices in the areas of malpractice defense, commercial and business litigation and employment litigation. Blomstrom is also certified in Civil Trial Law Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Blomstrom graduated from the University of Chicago School of Law and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Liberty resident.

Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell Ltd. is the area’s largest law firm, with nearly 30 attorneys at offices in Youngstown, Warren and Salem. The firm provides comprehensive legal services to corporations, other businesses, non-profit organizations, government agencies and individuals throughout northeastern Ohio.

MARK A. KEARNEY ELECTED VICE PRESIDENT OF THE MONTGOMERY BAR ASSOCIATION
EGS shareholder, Mark A. Kearney, has been elected Vice President of the Montgomery Bar Association for 2007. With almost twenty one hundred (2100) members, it is the third largest Bar Association in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Kearney will serve as one of five of the Bar Association’s elected officers, and will be principally responsible for coordinating nationally recognized continuing legal education programs for attorneys in Eastern Pennsylvania. His election continues his service as a leader of the Bench and Bar, including as a Director and Member of the Executive Committee of the Historical Society for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Chairperson of the Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians, a fellow of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation, a member of the Taxis Circle and former Director of the Montgomery Bar Association. Mr. Kearney and his wife Eileen and their two children reside in Blue Bell, where he is a youth baseball and soccer coach.

The Firm’s commitment to public service is also further confirmed by the election of Thomas J. Elliott as President of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Montgomery Bar Association; Roger J. Harrington’s election as the President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Montgomery Bar Association; Eric P. Wilenzik’s continuing service as a Director of the Montgomery Bar Association; and, Melissa Murphy Weber’s and Marvin L. Wilenzik’s election for three (3) year terms on the Judiciary Committee of the Montgomery Bar Association.

RAYMOND J. SANTARELLI APPOINTED TO LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE ON ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
EG&S shareholder Raymond J. Santarelli has been appointed to serve as a member of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Joint State Government Commission’s Advisory Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”), which includes government officials, judges, lawyers, businesspeople, academics, health and human services professionals. The Pennsylvania Senate authorized the task force and the advisory committee, and directed a comprehensive review of the current status of ADR services; identification of best practices in the delivery of ADR services locally and nationally and how to improve conflict resolution; development of a plan to educate the Commonwealth’s citizens concerning conflict resolution in general and ADR services in particular and to ensure public access to ADR services utilizing best practices; and, possibly proposing legislation to implement the proposed plan and to advance the use of innovative conflict resolution methods statewide. Mr. Santarelli and his wife Loretta reside in Delaware County with their three sons.

THOMAS J. ELLIOTT ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY TRIAL LAWYERS
EG&S senior shareholder Thomas J. Elliott has been elected as the President of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Trial Lawyers Section; his term will begin in January 2007.

This Section, consisting of over 130 active trial lawyers in Montgomery County, through monthly meetings and continuing legal education seminars, represents the interests of trial lawyers in the federal and state courts.

Mr. Elliott’s election continues his record of significant professional service to the Bench and Bar, including as a former two term member of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, an officer of the Historical Society for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and a director and a chairman of several committees of the Montgomery Bar Association. He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Montgomery Bar Associations. Mr. Elliott, his wife Helen and their three children reside in Blue Bell, where he has coached several youth sports teams, and most recently served as the President of the St. Joseph’s Prep Parents Association.

ROGER J. HARRINGTON, JR. ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE YOUNG LAWYERS SECTION OF THE MONTGOMERY BAR ASSOCIATION
EGS’s Roger J. Harrington, Jr. has been elected President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Montgomery Bar Association for 2007. He previously served as a Treasurer and Secretary of the Young Lawyer’s Section. The Young Lawyers Section sponsors seminars and meetings with the Court, and addresses the concerns of several hundred members of the Bar Association under the age of 35. A former Big East varsity baseball player at Georgetown University, Mr. Harrington and his wife Sally reside in Blue Bell with their son.

Weil Gotshal Advises The Brock Group in Acquisition of XServ Inc.
Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, the international law firm, advised The Brock Group in its agreement to acquire Xserv Inc., a majority owned portfolio company of Mezzanine Management’s Fund III.

Under the terms of the agreement, XServ will be integrated into Brock, bringing together the capabilities of two of the nation’s leading multi-craft specialty service providers; and forming the premier provider of coatings, scaffolding and insulation for the country’s industrial businesses.

The companies will be held by Brock, which is owned by Lindsay Goldberg & Bessemer, a New York-based investment partnership. The operations of the two companies span the United States, with additional capabilities in the Caribbean and South America. The combined business will have approximately 7,500 employees working at numerous customer locations.

Brock and XServ design and implement solutions for their customers’ maintenance and reliability needs for a broad range of major industries. Services are provided to refining, petrochemical, power, pulp and paper, and other industrial facilities.

The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter 2007 and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approval.
