Ted Stefas joined the firm in November 2003 to support Ohrenstein & Brown's expanding commercial, construction, environmental, and toxic tort litigation practice.

Mr. Stefas has been involved in successfully representing clients in a variety of matters, most notably in two recent cases before the Appellate Division, First and Second departments. The Oblon, Spivak firm’s accomplishments in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office electronic filing program were recognized when Jan Gardner, our Operations Manager, was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for her contribution to the firm’s goal of achieving 100% Electronic Filing at the USPTO (see photo below). Oblon, Spivak has been consistently working with the Office on the current EFS WEB system since attending the initial Electronic Filing Forum Design Review in March 2005. The Houston Multi-Bar Diversity Committee is comprised of the Houston Lawyers Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, the Mexican American Bar Association of Houston and the Asian American Bar Association of Houston. The Committee’s evaluation is based on a survey of the hiring and retention practices of minority attorneys of 21 of the largest law firms in Houston.
