Mary Forbes Lovett Joins Ulmer & Berne LLP Partnership
Ulmer & Berne LLP, one of Ohio’s largest law firms with four offices across the Midwest, announced the addition of Mary Forbes Lovett as a partner in its Real Estate Group.

Ms. Lovett is considered an expert in assisting developers, investors and lenders in the acquisition, restoration, development and financing of urban developments. Her urban development expertise includes use of historic credits, new markets tax credits and conservation easements. Additional areas of her expertise include leasing and corporate financing transactions and land development, zoning and environmental issues. She also advises clients and provides assistance in the formation of entities and numerous other corporate matters. Prior to joining Ulmer & Berne, Ms. Lovett was head of the Real Estate practice at Cowden, Humphrey, Nagorney & Lovett. She formerly served as president, board member and national delegate of the Commercial Real Estate Women of Cleveland, Inc. (CREW).

Joey Dupuis obtains unanimous defense verdict in wrongful death jury trial
Joey Dupuis obtained a unanimous defense verdict in a week-long, wrongful death jury trial in the East Baton Rouge case of Gertrude R. Paul, et al v. State of Louisiana, et al. This case involved wrongful death claims of eight children who alleged that the State of Louisiana and other defendants were liable as a result of their father being killed in an automobile accident.
