The United Way of South Hampton Roads recently recognized Willcox & Savage for its commitment of both time and resources to local agencies and our community.

Lee and Orlansky Receive Leadership in Law Award
Wayne Lee and Larry Orlansky received the 2007 Leadership in Law Award for their successes in their practices and commitments to the New Orleans community and legal industry. CityBusiness honored these two lawyers at its luncheon ceremony on Friday, March 30, 2007.

Timothy Stranko Joins Steptoe & Johnson PLLC
Timothy P. Stranko has joined the Business Department of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC practicing in the firm’s Morgantown office. Stranko will focus his practice in the areas of utility and environmental law. He received his legal education from the University of Pittsburgh and is also a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Stranko formerly served as general counsel for the Morgantown Utility Board. He is a founding Director and officer of the West Virginia Municipal Water Quality Association and a Director of the West Virginia Rural Water Association. He is the past president of the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties, Director of the Friends of Deckers Creek, a member of the Morgantown Planning Commission and a past public member of the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council.

PHILLIPS LYTLE LLP ATTORNEY BRENDAN J. RICH ELECTED TO AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
Brendan J. Rich, an attorney with Phillips Lytle LLP, a full service law firm with statewide coverage, has been elected to the American Diabetes Association Leadership Volunteer Development Program.

The American Diabetes Association is the leading voluntary health organization serving all people with diabetes. Its Leadership Volunteer Development Program allows young professionals to work closely with seasoned business leaders, gaining valuable xperience. In addition, program members take lead roles on Association committees, task forces and initiative groups.

At Phillips Lytle, Mr. Rich concentrates his practice on securities and corporate law including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance and the drafting of business relationship documents. He received his J.D., cum laude, from University at Buffalo School of Law and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Providence College. A member of the American, New York and Erie County Bar Associations, Mr. Rich is also active with the University at Buffalo School of Law Alumni Association.

Stan R. Gregory, Esq., Joins Pellettieri, Rabstein & Altman
The law firm of Pellettieri, Rabstein and Altman, is pleased to announce that Stan Gregory, Esq., a resident of Burlington County, has joined the firm as a partner in the Mt. Holly office.

Mr. Gregory comes to the firm with 14 years of experience providing legal representation to Burlington County residents in matters of personal injury, workers compensation, family law and criminal law. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gregory was a partner with the Law Offices of Gibbs, Gregory and Emmons, Pemberton Township, N.J.

Mr. Gregory earned his Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University, 1988, and earned his law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law, Miami Florida in 1993. He was admitted to practice law in New Jersey in 1993 and Florida in 1995.

Mr. Gregory served as a judicial law clerk, 1993-1994, for the Honorable Thomas H. Dilts, J.S.C., Somerville, N.J. He held the associate editor position on Law Review, and has authored the article, “Capital Punishment and Equal Protection,” 5St. Thom. L. Rev. 257 (1992). Early in his career, he represented political refugees from Haiti in political asylum hearings in Florida Federal Court.

Mr. Gregory complements his legal career with a variety of professional activities. He has served as the Chairman of the Office of Attorney Ethics 2002-2003, Vice Chair 2001-2002, and as a Committee Member 1999-2001. He has served many years on the Board of the Pemberton Township Board of Education, 1997-2000, 2004, 2005 and 2006. He is also an officer on the board of trustees with DRENK Memorial Behavioral Center, Hainesport, NJ.
