Thompson Hine Adds Business Litigation Lawyer
Terry W. Posey, Jr. has joined the law firm of Thompson Hine LLP as a member of the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. He focuses his practice on a variety of litigation matters, such as commercial litigation, business torts, intellectual property disputes, alternative dispute resolution, and products liability. Mr. Posey is admitted to practice in the state of Ohio and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Posey was an associate at a full-service firm in Sidney, Ohio, representing corporate and municipal clients with a concentration in health care and commercial law. He also has extensive experience in Ohio state courts, serving during law school as a law clerk for Judge Jeffrey E. Froelich of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court and most recently serving as a judicial attorney for Justice Maureen O'Connor of the Ohio Supreme Court.

Mr. Posey earned a J.D. in 2004, cum laude, from the University of Dayton School of Law and a B.A. in government in 2001 from the University of Virginia.

SCHIFF HARDIN LLP'S KENNETH M. ROBERTS CO-CHAIRS AND SERVES ON FACULTY FOR THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION'S TORT TRIAL & INSURANCE PRACTICE SECTION'S SECOND ANNUAL CONFERENCE
Schiff Hardin LLP partner Kenneth M. Roberts will co-chair and serve on the faculty for the American Bar Association's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section's Second Annual Conference — Beyond Legal: A Business Approach to Corporate Governance. This event takes place at the Sheraton New York and Towers in New York City, May 2 through May 4, 2007. Schiff Hardin is a co-sponsor of this conference.

Program Overview
The core theme of Beyond Legal continues to be the nature of the relationship among responsible corporate behavior, corporate profitability, and litigation risk. Participants in thought-provoking panels will discuss how various approaches to structuring internal processes might effect this relationship. This conference also will analyze what factors can encourage "good" corporate behavior.

In addition to making welcoming remarks and providing program overviews on May 3, Mr. Roberts will moderate the panel "Corporate Governance and the Private Corporation" on May 4 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. This panel will address issues faced by the increasing number of private companies that are implementing good corporate governance practices. The panel also will focus on techniques private companies can implement good corporate governance practices and the "value added" from incorporating these effective risk-management tools.

Phyllis E. Bross Serves as Legal Expert for the Brownfield Technical Assistance Training Program
Parker McCay attorney, Phyllis E. Bross, was the featured legal expert at a brownfield technical assistance training program for New Jersey municipalities, recently held in Camden, N.J. The training program was hosted by the National Brownfield Association, in conjunction with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

Ms. Bross joined other public and private sector experts in the brownfield industry to provide training to representatives from various municipalities throughout New Jersey on how to market their brownfield properties in order to attract more investment and developer interest. The training program was designed to educate municipalities on state brownfield programs, technical assistance and financial incentives.

Ms. Bross focuses her practice in the areas of brownfields redevelopment and environmental law, with an emphasis on the acquisition, remediation and reuse of contaminated sites. She serves as chair of the Legal Committee and co-chair of the Legislative Affairs committee of the National Brownfield Association, New Jersey Chapter.

Ms. Bross is a resident of Turnersville, N.J.

Nola R. Bencze to Speak at the Ninth Annual Hon. William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Conference
Parker McCay shareholder Nola R. Bencze is a featured expert at the Ninth Annual Honorable William H. Gindin Bankruptcy Bench-Bar Conference on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Brunswick Hilton in East Brunswick, N.J. The conference is presented by the New Jersey State Bar Association Bankruptcy Law Section in cooperation with the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

The one-day conference will be attended by over 50 bankruptcy court judges and practitioners and will feature a luncheon presentation by the Honorable Cory Booker, Mayor of Newark, plenary sessions on timely topics and a choice of various workshops on important issues related to the bankruptcy law practice. Ms. Bencze will moderate a discussion entitled, “Individual and Corporate Credit Rating.

McLane Attorney Glahn Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers
The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, P.A., with offices in Manchester, Portsmouth, and Concord, is pleased to announce that Wilbur A. Glahn, III has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America.

The induction ceremony at which Bill became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of 810 persons during the recent 2007 Spring Meeting of the college in La Quinta, California.

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.

Members of the College cannot exceed one per cent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently approximately 5.610 members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and Honorary Fellows.

The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice. They are carefully selected from among those who customarily represent plaintiffs in civil cases and those who customarily represent defendants; those who prosecute the accused and those who defend them. The College is thus able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.

Bill's more than thirty years of trial experience includes a wide variety of trial work, including the representation of companies and individuals in commercial, tax, securities, trade secret and employment litigation. As a former Assistant Attorney General in charge of the Civil Division of the New Hampshire Attorney General?s Office, Bill also has extensive experience in governmental and administrative litigation.

Other members of the Firm who have been elected Fellows of the College are Jack Middleton, Bruce Felmly and Kenneth Volk.
