Freshfields voted top of Competition Super League again
International law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has been voted the top competition practice globally in PLC Cross-border magazine’s Which Lawyer? ‘Competition Super League’ for the fourth consecutive year, with 30 recommended lawyers across 13 jurisdictions.

The Competition Super League rankings are compiled from research that includes interviews with in-house counsel and private practice lawyers across 46 jurisdictions and the rankings are calculated by aggregating the results of law firm and individual lawyer recommendations.

PLC Cross-border magazine this year commented: ‘Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer sits head and shoulders above the other firms in the top five. The firm benefits from a powerful presence and extensive resources throughout the EU, most notably in Germany, the UK (England and Wales), the Netherlands and at EU level. A solid practice in Washington DC further distinguishes the firm from its Europe-based rivals.’

Commenting on the firm’s achievement, Helmut Bergmann, co-head of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer’s antitrust, competition and trade group said, ‘The firm’s ranking at the top of the Competition Super League is once again testament to the strength of our team of competition specialists. We are pleased to see that the views of our clients and peers in private practice reflect the strength and depth of our cross-border practice.’
