Ulmer & Berne LLP Partner, Craig S. Miller, Appointed to the Board of Directors of Care Alliance Health Center
Ulmer & Berne LLP announced today that one of its partners, Craig S. Miller, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Care Alliance Health Center.

Care Alliance Health Center is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) whose mission is to provide high-quality health care, patient advocacy and related services to people who need them the most, regardless of their ability to pay, in a manner that is cost-effective and empowers people to improve their quality of life. Care Alliance provides a wide range of health services, from medical and dental care, to specialized HIV/AIDS and Diabetes treatment.

As an attorney with Ulmer & Berne, Mr. Miller is Chair of the Public Law Group, and holds 30 years of experience that integrates public law/public contracts/government relations, real estate development and financing, construction law, zoning and land use and nonprofit corporations. He assists corporate headquarter relocations involving complex public and private financing, as well as private developers and companies in new construction and major renovation projects. Mr. Miller represents local and regional public agencies in public law matters. He also counsels clients in real estate and eminent domain.

Sonnenschein's Public Policy Team Adds Former Capitol Hill Chief of Staff and Promotes Three
Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP announced today that Robert C. Sepucha, Jr. has joined the law firm as a partner in its Public Law & Policy Strategies Group. The firm also announced the promotion of John R. Feore, III to managing director, Adam R. Gluck to senior managing director and Alison L. Kutler to partner. The four reside in Sonnenschein's Washington, D.C. office.

"It is great to have Bobby on board as we continue our aggressive growth in 2007. He brings our clients strong political judgment that can readily translate Washington realities into boardroom decision making and investment priorities," said Mike McNamara, chair of Sonnenschein's Public Law & Policy Strategies Group. "Alison, Adam and John have already each been key contributors to the success of our group. We look forward to having them take on bigger responsibilities in their new positions."

Sepucha was most recently the chief of staff to former Rep. Harold Ford, Jr. (D-Tenn.). He managed a 15-person staff in Washington and Memphis. Sepucha also served as a senior advisor during Ford's 2006 U.S. Senate campaign, focusing on strategic planning and fundraising.

"This is an exciting time in Washington," noted Sepucha. "With the shift in power in Congress at the beginning of the year, companies and investors are facing a new set of challenges. Sonnenschein's team is uniquely suited to provide the kind of strategic advice they need most."

Prior to his time on Capitol Hill, Sepucha worked with high technology and venture companies at Gunderson Dettmer Stough Villeneuve Franklin & Hachigian LLP in Silicon Valley and Boston. He began his professional career as a securities lawyer in San Francisco at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP. Sepucha earned a J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Michigan and an A.B. degree, cum laude, in political science and economics from Dartmouth College.

Feore advocates before Congress and the executive branch on behalf of trade associations and corporations. He also assists hedge funds, private equity firms and other members of the financial services sector, focusing primarily on federal health care policy. Feore earned a B.A. degree from Boston College.

Gluck's background is in appropriations and public health policy. Prior to joining Sonnenschein in 2003, he served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, where he developed and directed health care policy for Sen. Tom Harkin (D-Iowa). At the firm, Gluck works on lobbying and grassroots strategies to help clients with their public policy goals. Gluck received a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan.

Kutler, who joined Sonnenschein in 2002, has an extensive federal and state advocacy background. She provides public policy management, which includes advocacy work before Congress, and political intelligence services to clients. Kutler earned a J.D. degree from Stanford University and a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University.

Carl Staiger Named Partner
The downtown law firm of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP is pleased to announce that Carl F. Staiger was named a Partner in the firm.

Staiger, a member of the firm's Business Transactions & Planning Group, concentrates his practice in business and tax planning for commercial transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and real estate transactions, as well as planning involving partnerships, S corporations and other closely held businesses.

Staiger, a Gibsonia resident, received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, with honors, from Rutgers University in 1990. He received his Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Widener University School of Law in 1993 and he earned an LL.M. in Taxation from Temple University School of Law in 2001.
