Wrong Billable HoursI am working for a New York based law firm. There seems to be some
miscalculations about the billable hours. According to my computation it
is way beyond 1700 billable hours. But on paper the company has put in the
wrong figures and has also paid me the wrong amount. It also happened a
month back. But I ignored it. Should I put in a word telling them about
it?

Dear Doppiedaps,
Yes, I definitely think you should tell them about it. Miscalculating
billable hours is a huge issue for law firms, and in this case, it looks
like that your firm is losing money. And in the future, I would suggest you
notify them right away, as opposed to waiting a month!
