Dear Judged
What to wear at work?Everyday choosing a formal attire and leaving for
office seems a pain in the ass. I end up spending thirty to forty minutes
on deciding what to wear. I would wear something, take it off, and then
wear something else. What do you think is the ultimate solution to this
problem Judge. Am I the only one suffering from this?

Dear Unununium,
No, you are not the only one suffering from this
problem. Wearing business attire is the bane of my existence. The only
thing (and I stress that this is literally the only thing) I miss about law
school was being able to go to class is jeans and tee shirts. Once you
enter the firm lifestyle, I assure you those days are done (that is, unless
you work at a “hip” West Coast firm, damn those people). In
terms of the ultimate solution to this problem, the first step is to simply
accept that you will never get to dress casual during the work week
ever again. After that
depressing fact sinks in, the next step is to streamline your wardrobe;
unless you’re really into fashion, just buy some plain suits and
button up shirts, mix and match, and then call it a day. After all,
let’s be honest; there’s really no one worth impressing at a law firm. Save your cute
outfits and energy for getting ready on the weekends, where you actually
have a shot of meeting someone decent looking…who doesn’t want
to talk about mergers and acquisitions 24-7.
