Last week, something caught my eye, and it was a story about Steve Stanton.  Now, this great city manager who served the city of Largo for more than 14 years is losing his job.  And the reason is that Steve wants to become Susan.  His wish to change his sex made the Largo officials blanch and blush until they set up a sham proceeding and decided Stanton’s lost the trustworthiness to continue in his office.  What struck me as funny with this logic is that when a person undergoes sex change operation, it implies a loss of trustworthiness sufficient to lose a job,.  This works even against a brilliant track record of success and loyalty like Stanton’s.  While reading about Stanton’s issue, I discovered a blog on transgender workplace diversity at http://jweissdiary.blogspot.com/.  The website contains more than 40 sections, and is complete with one labeled “Bathrooms and Locker Rooms.” Betcha never thought you’d read about transgender issues on Judged, huh?
